I think he does for the Kings in particular. Boogie will force a trade sooner rather than later if the organization does not A) win more games and B) bring in players that he likes/believes in. Bledsoe is one of his guys and is a major upgrade both defensively/Athletically over Collison.

I am not buying the top four pick trade ideas getting thrown around. Bledsoe is not that kind of a player. I think the view around the NBA is that Okafore, Towns, Mudiay, and Russell are the class of the draft and Bledsoe isn't getting the Suns into that conversation.

Pho-4th, Hou 1st, Young
Sac-Bled
La-6th, 13th, Landry

Pho-gets 2 picks, 1 in top 4 for potential franchise like player, hou pick is for absorbing Young who could help them out if Green leaves

Sac-gets Cousin his Kentucky buddy, Bledose will be more impactful then anyone Sac can get at 6th

La-we move back but get 2 lotto picks, we'll aborb landry dead weight contract, maybe he'll get into shape and be a productive backup again.

It makes perfect sense. He, along with Len, are the only valuable assets on the roster. The Morri have very limited value at this point, if any, and Warren/Goodwin won't make the needle move for a top 10 pick. Plus SAC wants to appease Boogie and landing Bledsoe will go a long way in doing that.

Bledsoe for #6, Stauskas, and Thompson (or Landry) makes sense and works within the cap restrictions.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mwzga39

The group of players that will be available at that pick include Porzingis, Winslow, Hezonja, Johnson, and Cauley-Stein. I really like that group.

Last, the Suns went all in for Brandon Knight and will ave to PAY the man this summer. Trading the Lakers pick, Tyler Ennis, and Myles Plumlee for a player hitting restricted free agency is a serious commitment. You only make that decision if you believe Knight is a building block, not simply an asset.

exactly, hopefully it gets done. It almost feels like it makes too much sense for it not to happen

Oh man if Bledsoe somehow nets Russell it'll be the best draft ever

Russell/Knight or Knight/Russell would gel really well together

defensively it might be lacking, but you have dead-eye shooting, ball handling ability, and passing

yeah the Kings are in win-now mode, especially with Karl being hired. I doubt they would want to draft another lottery player after years of being in that same position and not really improving at all.

Other options for them are Lowry and Lawson, but I think the Bled/Cousins connection makes it an easy decision, Bled is way better than them either way.

I'm still hesitant about making Sac into near-contenders though, I think Bled/Gay/Cousins w/ Karl could go really far

I would sleep a lot better at night if we traded Bled east to a team like the Knicks

Lol at Knicks agreeing to trade down for oxygen.

Did you not read Calderon going to Suns?

Going rate for dumping a bad contract is a 1st round pick, minimum. Calderon is a bad, to very bad contract. Hence, Knicks dump Calderon, gain more cap for moving down 2-3 slots.

Also look what the last few trade up deals have netted, not the NFL...NBA its a modest return league for just 2-3 slots.

Nuggets offer #7 and Lawson to match salaries and offer a positional replacement. Ask for the #13 along with Bledsoe in return.

MN slides to 3; Okafor and Towns are gone.

MN out #3, Pek
MN in #5 (Porzingas), Phoenix 2016 1st (TBD Protections)

LA out #5
LA in Bledsoe

PHO out Bledsoe 2016 1st
In #3 (Russell) Pek

We already have a positional replacement in Brandon Knight

7th is probably too low for the Bledsoe trade to go through and I doubt the Suns have any interest in Lawson. Maybe if you guys move up

I'm not the GM though, so who knows

Oh man that Pek contract is killer. And he doesn't fit into the Suns system at all. Won't even get playing time with Len at C
I doubt we would do that. We would probably just cut Minny out of the deal or just not do it at all

Bledsoe is not worth the #5, imo. I'd rather just draft Winslow, Russell or Mudiay and then use the 10M in difference in salary between Bledsoe and #5 in free agency.

I actually agree that the Lakers probably don't trade for Bledsoe. Sacramento on the other hand is a perfect trade partner

Even the Knicks are more likely than the Lakers imo

I'm on the fence on Bledsoe.

From what I've seen from him, he has questionable decision-making skills, isn't really a leader-type of player & meh 3PT shooter. Those three things that I just listed are PARAMOUNT for PGs. If you list all of the top tier PGs in the NBA, most likely, they have all of those three things checked off. You would like to think that after signing a 5/70 contact, he would elevate his game from last season...but that didn't happen. I kinda expected him to go off once Dragic was traded away to the Heat...but nothing..his pre/post all star splits are almost identical. At times, I feel like he coasted through games and didn't put 100% effort in every possession..maybe that was the product of him conserving energy (i.e. he was practically the main guy..post all star) but still.

I get that he is among a handful of players that averaged his stat line and that alone is impressive. That said, I'm not too sure if Bledsoe would really fit with Sacramento. Sure, his defensive abilities and his slashing skills are nice to have but given that our two main players are Rudy & Cousins, you really need shooters around them to make things work. Can Bledsoe function with those two players as the alpha dogs? Bledsoe tasted the opportunities as a primary option in Phoenix, I don't think he would give that up if that means to take a back seat as a 3rd or even 4th option on offense...especially if the team isn't really that good to begin with..

Am I the only one who remembers that Phoenix actually did have a legit shot to get a top six pick and maybe even get Russell but used it to trade for a B-level point guard who they're going to have to overpay to keep in restricted free agency?
