LTU NT and JV at the 2015 European Championship

I'm confused as to whether or not there was a game today. Can anyone clarify? Can't find anything about one...

There was a game. Lithuania played Finland and won 78-71. Jonas did not play. After the game his teammate Paulius Jankunas flat out said Jonas will be the main cog in the team.

Cog holding that bench together!!

I'm guessing it's because it was a friendly and Jonas just joined the team. Any indication on when he will start playing?

Well actually the LT team captain Javtokas is also a center so there is some speculation he might start in certain matchups with Jonas on the bench

Imo it's all bull and Jonas will start every game, but I guess we will see.

And you're right, he just joined the team so did not play. Expected to play next game on Wednesday, but probably on limited mins too.

Jonas WILL play against Austria on 12-08-2015 at 12.30PM ET
There will most likely be streams posted here before the game begins.

To be honest he looks the same to me. He will probably play around 17 mins and score something like 14 & 8.

They are playing against Austria tough. It doesnt mean anything.

Whole starting line up (except JV) will sit out this game for LTU. Coach said it's the last preparation game where he will let the "newcomers" of NT to show themselves, as in the upcoming games he intends to tighten the rotation and focus more on the main core.
So JV will play with our bench squad and the game is against Austria (which did not qualify for this Euro champ). I expect him to play limited minutes but that should still be enough to come out "MVP" of the game.

FIBA is changing the format of the competition that will leave only one EuroChamp every 4 years (now EuroChamp is every two years).

Yup. He and the whole team knows that JV is the leader of the team and that the game will be focused a bit more on JV than others.
