Philly is trying to get to the spot in the standings where the Bulls are now, so your "theory" comes up short. He is on a planned minutes and games restriction, and I'm fairly certain that the decision to sit him out had nothing to do with the Bulls current situation.

I think it's pretty clear he's the 3rd best pure point guard on the team behind MCW and Rondo, his skillset just meshes better with the starters. That being said, I'm still not sure I'd start (or play) Grant. This is despite the fact that both MCW and Rondo are closer to bottom tier starters / quality reserves.

Usually beating a bad team means nothing, but Bulls could really use a 'get well' game to re-establish some order and positivity.

Though I believe Philly upset someone even without Embiid so maybe not quite the cakewalk you'd think.

I know jerry doesn't want to be on the hook for 5 mill for 3 years with firing fred.

So here is a solution, fire fred, fire gar cut his salary off the books, and make John Paxson not only take a pay cut but also make him assume full responsibility of gm, to cover the cost of firing fred. It was there mistake, they should pay for it. Gar should just be gone.

Let's be honest, a loss here won't do anything. If getting beaten by the Heat after a public meltdown by our players didn't create the need for changes, nothing will.

The FO will cling to our guaranteed playoff spot in a laughable eastern conference as the shining example of their "success" this season. This team is officially in NBA hell.
