To be fair, Melo has been taking alot less shots. KP's been getting the lion share of the shots the last week or so.

It'll be fun to see how these two match up once KP gets his 3rd and 4th year bumps in play because he has all the tools and he seems to have a good motor. The motor is I think what separates Gobert from some of the other players that play like him. Gobert goes hard all game every game. I think that's what's going to make KP great.

Nice to see a fan from another team appreciate what we have when fans from our own team don't. It's en vogue around here to nitpick KP death and talk about his shortcomings as if he won't improve upon them.

is it en vogue, or is that just Greenie's shtick as of late?

Gobert was a twig when he entered the league and everyone was worried about that.

He has bulked up nicely. KP should watch and learn.

KP is 3 years younger than Gobert and he entered the league 2 years later. So KP still have time to build strength.
Greek Freak also get NBA strength in his 3rd/4th year in the league.
After all, scouting on KP was right. He was a 3-4 year project.

We'll see consistent and more dominant performance from him in next years.

Great loss...typical one at that where an opponent gets a career high. Haven't had enough of those this year....

one game behind 4th spot tie i think?

2 very losable games with away portland (7-3 in last 10) and away spurs(7-3 in last 10) next.

detroit game at home (4-6 in their last 10) will be a big one after those because its winnable

Maybe Jeff meant "resting Melo" is he gets to take off some plays on offense as well all the plays he takes off on defense all the time. Sort of an "in work vacation"

Scouting was right and wrong at the same time. They were right about the part that KP is a probably 4 year (maybe 3 year) project. But they were wrong about him not being ready to play at high level during the first few years.

KP has a much higher talent floor level than almost anyone predicted. His ceiling remains incredibly high still.

KP couldn't contain him but he didn't back down from him. Kept going at the rim. Got a few on him... had a few sent back. Rudy's in year 4. KP in year 2. You need to ride out the string with your youngin's or you never get Year 4 Gobert.

One of the most dominant games I've seen with literally no offensive moves. Dude had 13 rebounds and 11 of them was on the offensive glass!

Not only does he have the physical tools but he's wily about positioning as well. Willy usually can beat guys to the boards with his guile but couldn't pull anything over on Rudy. KP just isn't strong enough and Rudy may even be longer. Couldn't do much about him tonight.

They're gonna have to go back to the drawing board on him for next year.

and did Kuz not even play?

tanking is fine this time of year
but at least play the young guys and play them the right way for F's sake

I could only watch the 1st half (had to get up early) but, I did see Kuz in the 1st quarter. I think he got pulled for poor defense which, is weird since the majority of the team played crappy on the defense from what little I saw.

I don't think Kp showboated after dunking on Gobert. He just was walking slow after it and was annoyed. This losing will only make KP that much better. You can tell he's sick of it. He has to learn to box out I mean it's that simple.

Goddamn I absolutely love Gobert as a player. You see the steps him and Giannis took now in their 4th season and it gives so much promise for KP. They were both string beans when they entered the league and now they are dominant forces.

Then you have Knicks "fans" saying KP is what he is as a 2nd year player and won't improve. Would be comical if it wasn't so sad.

Late game, rooting for a loss anyway...I didn't watch it...I haven't missed a full game in a very long time but I ain't bother with this one and looking at how much time was granted to the vets over the youth; I'm thinking I made a good decision.
