a lot of people here dont know Milos and are treating him as a scrub...yeah, u definitely dont know who this guy is.

But hey, this is the Bulls realgm board...If we sign Kevin Durant tomorrow im sure there will be a lot people here saying we shouldn't do it...

Yeah, being the best in europe doesnt really matter when we all saw how Niko failed in this Bulls team. Pass.

So are you saying you'd turn down Nikola Jokic, Kristaps Portzingus, Rudy Gobert, Tony Parker, etc. because of what Nikola Mirotic did?

Plus it's not like you're burning a draft pick to get him.

More streaky than great shooter I?d even say; plus, would need to adapt to NBA 3pt line, which I can see as problem for him (him "jumping in" while shooting to further reduce distance - he does this on Euro level, doesn't look good heading for NBA imo)

He is funky player, but agree, not what we need on Bulls imo.

Hard to play him alongside Wade or Val. The defense would be just too bad. Would have to hide him like BOS hides IT. First step would be to play him only alongside Butler, Grant and Canaan (our 5'9" SG), similar to the way BOS pairs IT with Bradley, Crowder and Smart.

I like Mios Teodosic a lot but never mentioned him because of his age and because I assumed he'd want to go to a better team. Definitely not a move if you're rebuilding though. I'm glad we're looking at Europeans. Nocioni was a great find for us and we haven't really revisited that strategy since.

It's pretty tough to make an argument against Niko being anything other than a top 3 Bulls player last year.

Which is depressing but still.

Milos would get Grant and Payne out of the rotation, so there's that?

MCW probably isn't returning, then u have grant and Payne who have been disappointing and don't even deserve to be back ups. That leaves us with rondo(if resigned) and teodosic( if this is true) ,unless they get Lowry instead of rondo. Teodosic though would be a very good second option off the bench. Actually surprised the bulls are even looking at him, finally doing something right.

They have. Niko and Zipser were brought from Europe.

They were drafted. I meant finding free-agents.

He is a decent signing IMO b/c he is greatly respected overseas, but doesn't line up with the Bulls get younger plan. Unless they abandoned that line of thinking.

Like any signing, it is all about price. Tedosic is a better offensive player than any point guard on our roster. Sure he is 30, but you are going to get a steady player for the duration of the contract. Especially skill players, they age better than high flyers. Obviously you are not going to improve defensively or get more athletic through this signing.

I think there is a place on any NBA roster for a guy that can shoot, run pick and roll, and make his teammates better and more engaged. I have no disillusion that he is a starter on a good team.

Also, I have traveled the world. And Serbians are fun.

So were gonna spend @ 8-9 mil for an unknown 6'5 Euro PG who is 30?
and the book on him is-

"Offensively, he’s the best passer in the world, from a purely offensive standpoint," ESPN's Fran Fraschilla said last month. "Chris Paul is a Hall of Famer, but as far as a pure passer, Teodosic might be the most creative passer in the world today. Now, he will not guard a chair, but he’s a brilliant offensive player and an ultra-competitor."

They better NOT bring Niko back then.

And Rondo is about as good as it gets for a PG passing the ball. We need a PG who puts POINTS on the board.
We technically have 2 1st rd picks tied up in a 6'4" PG that is supposed to be able to score.

Mirotec, Zipser and Teodosic? I though this was the NBA not the Euro League.

This might be the news that prompted Jimmy to ask for a trade, Gar telling him how he has an awesome new euro player

Jimmy be like.....

The Bulls had 9 players with 3 years of experience or less last season, and they are about to draft 2 more young players. Yes, indeed, the Bulls have a very young team, with only three players who are 29 or older.

Bulls obviously have a keep Jimmy plan and a trade Jimmy and tank plan.

At this time its hard to see Jimmy in a Bulls uni next season. I just hope Bulls make the right picks in the draft and get their kings ransom.

The max contract his team was able to offer was 13.5 million over 3 years (4.5 million per).

According to the news report I was reading, he was looking for a 25-30 million over 3 years deal. If the Bulls were able to get a starting caliber for 8.33 million per at only 3 years (while he's at his prime) that's a pretty big bargain.

By comparison,

Rondo will make 13 million for 1 year. (age 31)
Kyle Lowry will probably demand the max 4 years starting at 30.9 million per year. (age 31)
George Hill will probably get close to the max for 4 years (age 31)
Chris Paul will get the super max for 5 years 36.05 million per year. (age 32)
Jeff Teague will probably get 15-20 million per year for at least 4 years (age 28)
Patty Mills will probably get 15-20 million per year for at least 4 years (age 28)
