Watching this just made me even more outraged that Phil would even consider trading this kid. Sky's the limit. When it comes down to it, Knicks are most at fault because well they're the Knicks. KP made 1 mistake and should have went to that exit interview. I hope he means what he says, that he wants to stay and doesn't leave at his first chance. Let's just hope Phil is gone by then.

no, watching this made me more outraged at KP acting like a quitter and not confronting the issues he had in the exit meeting like a grown man, especially seeing all the hardships that his family went through.

When the team gets together eventually we'll get an answer from Porzingis. I'm not too worried about not hearing from him.

His answer will soon come to light.

I'm actually glad he didn't drop any bombshells for this special.

100% KP is doing this because of Melo. He grew up idolizing him. And he finally got Melo's respect that first year he was here and probably was on the moon because of it. Now he sees Melo getting pushed out and wants to stand up for him.

He really needs to realize this is a business and about winning. The knicks and Melo aren't winning anymore so its time to part ways. Still doesn't excuse missing the meeting and not talking to your president/gm/coach. Hopefully when we get back to camp we can move on once Melo is gone.

well, if KP is really doing it because of Melo, ill be really disappointed in him and his brothers.

I understand the young kid could get emotionally attached to him, but brothers should've talked sense into him..

Somebody please tell him.

Stay humble KP.

The image and perception of an athlete is very transient. It can come in with great promise and then go just as quickly. Advertisers will stay away from you in a hurry and for what? To show solidarity with Melo? Really?

No one is irreplaceable or impervious to changing attitudes of the masses.

Adam Silver must have done one of these :banghead: , when you skipped the meeting and some fans perceptions of you started to change.

Man, it's pretty crazy how your whole image can change with one missed meeting.

D Rose literally bailed on the team, didn't contact anyone until almost the next day and he didn't get half as much **** as KP has.

Because Rose was not really relevant with the Knicks while KP was the one of the next new, fresh and shiny NBA faces.

I mean, to a point that's true. But this thing with KP had been boiling all season. He looked frustrated in those post game interviews.

There was one where he literally said we need a direction. I think it was after the last game of the season.

KP didn't create this toxic culture and is the biggest reason free agents won't come here. That's Phil.

I think its just more simple, Phil and FO knows what the issues are on the team/organization.(Melos treatment, forcing triangle on the coach who doesn't know how to run it, Rambis.. perhaps some more on the inside)

So KP just sent them a message that they need to do something about all of this, and he is not gonna just sit quietly..

And I like how some even mention KP is CREATING MORE DRAMA. Guy just missed the meeting, and hasn't done anything since then, just posted videos of him working hard. Again, all this trade drama came from Phil..

Imagine if KP trashed the organization in his exit meeting, then kept talking to the media about all the issues.. Nah, there would be no drama.

No matter how you slice it and even if he is defending Melo, the dude is still being a brat. You blew off the meeting that was designed for you to tell Phil you don't like what he is doing. Basically KP is acting like he has Balls, but does not have any. He was to scared to confront Phil, and figured running away in protest was the way to let him know he does not like the direction. He releases info thru his brother instead of telling Phil to his face. I like KP and want him to stay, but he showing no backbone and instead showing that he still wears pampers. Dont try to act Gully when you not ready to be Gully yet. You just make schit look even worse. KP could have told PJ FOH you suck! instead he runs away and leaves a bunch of speculation in the air. Even thoe he wants to stay, KP is the dude who would rather break up over Text than Just tell shorty to her face. Man up my dude. Hd should have been aired out his beef to Phil with him face to face. Thats what real leaders or bosses do. His brothers are clowns.

yeah man Phil came in here and reversed 15 years of excellent work by this organization. What is he thinking keeping all our picks and drafting exciting young players like KP, Frank and Willy. I miss the days where we were trading unprotected 1st for Tmac and Bargs and our GM was going to court for a sexual harassment case. That's nothing compared to sending stupid tweets. Can't wait to fire him and get back to the good old days.

That does not erase the embarrassment he's caused with his unnecessary drama. If he did his job quietly and acted like a professional, nobody would be killing him right now, even with his losing record.

True. But it's not his place to criticize management in the media. Imagine you criticizing your Bosses in a drunken stagger during the Christmas party in from of everyone.

Bro, look what's happened, NY fans will side with the Knicks above the player, regardless of status.

On the court, it is all about teamwork but off the court, each player should go and mind their own business when it comes to personnel matters.

KP is actively blowing off Jeff and Phil when they try to contact him.

That's not doing nothing. That's creating more drama.

I meant, did nothing to cause drama.. Phil and Jeff were the ones who put it out to the media.

DIdn't they both say they talked through texts?

That's what I took out of it as well. It seems KP loves Melo. He's sticking up for him. Kind of like if someone was disrespecting your brother or best friend. Would you want to work or play or be friendly with that person? I know it's a job and KP gets paid a lot of money and it's probably not a good example but that's the point. Phil should have never used twitter or Rosen to bash Melo. He should have acted like a professional and done it privately behind closed doors. This is on him. Phil is the boss and he's 100% responsible.
