I hope Vlade was watching very closely today.

The Kings need a competent wing badly.

Yup and I don't see any free agent small forwards left. So at this point we either trade for Wilson Chandler and assets, or start Buddy/Bogdan. Starting Shump, Temple, or JJ will be more of the same from last year and unacceptable IMO.

Yeah its easy to kill Jackson right now but im not really even sure he should be the first wing off the bench let alone a starter. He doesn't seem to have the alpha mentality to be assertive during a game. 1 assist, 1 rebound also tonite. It's like we're playing 4 on 5 most the time. People laughed at the notion of giving Ariza big money but would that not have been the ideal fit, even at his age?

One thing that was obvious was that Bagley needs to add leg strength. He was pushed off his spot a bunch tonight, even by Josh Hart.
But if he can play average D like he did tonight and hit shots from the perimeter and foul line...sky's the limit.

i remember Fox saying he didn't get calls last year because he was a rookie. Well tonight he actually got some foul calls go his way so hopefully that trend continues during the season.

Let's hope for no knee swelling from Giles tomorrow morning. Wonder if he plays the back-to-back. I wouldn't start him right away this season but he should definitely be in the rotation.

His feet and balance on D looked horrible... Coachable kid tho. Promise of being average is there.

People say the vets/mentors did nothing for our young guys. I don't know about anyone else but i see a little bit of ZBo's attitude in Harry. I never saw that from him at duke.

Duke actually made the switch to zone when Bagley missed about 3 games. Wendell Carter was actually a worse defender in man than Bagley was.

He had it in high school. He always had that chirpy in your face dog attitude.

I saw an interview when they did it and coach K said it was because it was too much for that many young players to pick up his system from what I remember. Normally he had more experience to fall back on. Bagley didn't look great, but he didn't look that bad. Again, I saw the Kings system in place where they will give the other team all the 3's they can eat, where they also play up into the middle so they are susceptible to back doors and back screens. That has to change, there is no future playing that kind of defensive style.

I'm not even saying malachi is a good player but I'm still kinda upset we traded him for nothing. I wouldnt mind him being on the roster right now. In the short time we had him he showed me more than justin Jackson.

You guys should be excited - that Kings group was fun as hell to watch against LA. Fox is a jet, Bagley and Giles have traditional big size with amazing movement and perimeter skill-sets. Exciting to add a perimeter pieces like Hield and Bogdan to that mix.

Still a couple of years away from true competitiveness, and whether anyone develops in to true star power is yet to be seen, but as it is right now, I think this team is more functional, higher character, and has a much brighter future than any-time in the DMC era.

i wouldn't mind to see Fox play tonight and then shut it down Thursday (he's obviously not playing in vegas). Hopefully he can keep gaining muscle this summer/keep getting craftier at scoring through contact/and keep working on his shot.

He could really become a 16ppg scorer without his shot improving at all from last year (just from getting better around the rim and playing faster). If his jumper gets a little better he could legitimately become an 18ppg scorer this year.

Also im wondering why is he wearing those low-tops puma, players hurt their ankles with that BS. High-tops are made for basketball, wear them.

Those pumas are just like the Kobes. they are made with more of a mid to low cut. Im pretty sure the technology is there for support.

Plenty of sneakers are great and are not high top.

James hardens nor Lillard sneakers are High tops. Bagley moves like a Guard. He will be fine in those pumas.

I don't really see high tops like back in the day anymore. Besides, isn't the taping process what really ends up helping when they do roll their ankles?

No Fox, that sucks but it also means this is a perfect opportunity for JJ to step up. I certainly don't want to see Mason playing the role of Kemba in SL. That will never be there for him here with the big team, form him into what can help you like you are supposed to with 2nd round backup players.

I don't get it. It's the same thing with Willie, Giles can freaking switch! Don't double back and set a double giving up the open 3, WTF.

I'm starting to think the Kings assistant coaches just aren't good. The Kings aren't even running anything. They didn't much in the last game either. The players don't know where they are supposed to be at all. On the other end the Warriors are running their system very well. Spreading 4 out, 1 inside and running cutters off screens. I am not impressed. Also this 2 PG thing is still a thing? smh.
