Had he not played better the last couple?

Westbrook gets hit by the ball in the face after a turnover but would but hangs back in excrutioning agony and we give up the three. Cool.

I’m with slick. Russ is making 35 million a year. I don’t think it’s unfair to ask russ not to have bipolar performances game to game.

We get some of the most BS techs called against us.

i'm looking for a meaningful trend. we're getting into mid-january, and his last 10 look as bad as his first 25. he had a couple games in a row after thanksgiving where he shot well, too. i'm losing confidence that he can bring it all together this year. an ankle injury over two months ago shouldn't be keeping him from making layups.

ok it's time to trade Schroeder. His value will never be that high again.

He can definitely make some plays on the offensive end at times but he gave up the layup on the defensive end right after he made the shot. That’s the kind of stuff that keeps him from having as meaningful of an impact as some think.

If that DeRozan foul earlier was continuation, then so was that foul on the Spurs on Schroder.

Can we please put Ferguson in the game to get a body on Belinelli?

You can't have a meaningful trend in one game.

Russ has always put up bipolar shooting numbers though. Obviously not like this year, but he's never been Mr consistent 25 on 18 shots.

I agree but it seems like it’s more extreme this year. His mvp year he would have games where he would have horrific quarters but eventually play himself out of it because of his high usage. This year he hasn’t been able to consistently do it. I dont know if it’s because of lower usage, injury, declining, mental block or what but it limits this team. I don’t love the way russ plays but we need him to have some measure of consistency.

because he's showing no signs of shooting / scoring better? i think i was pretty clear on that. shooting poorly today is part of the 'meaningful trend' encompassing the entire season.
