Doesn't this make Miami worse for the ROS though? They're still in the playoffs making a move like this?

Did 76ers know this before moving the Miami pick? Miami just opened up room

Can someone explain this to me? The Heat actually added 1M in salary this year when they are in the tax while down grading in talent... to save 3M next year when Anderson is waived?!?

This is a weird one because Miami is now $7.4 million over the the lux cap now. There has to be more to this deal.

They have so many G's, rather a shooting big man is needed, with a small roll.

Tyler Johnson is having worst season over last 3 seasons, not a starter anymore, lost his minutes overall, so not a big or any loss in that sense.

Makes no sense for Miami at all, I don't get it.

At least Johnson has a PO at season end (and 15% trade kicker by the looks)

Is it actually 15 mil though? I can't find a source for the supposed reduction Anderson took on his final year.

Heat trading Johnson for Anderson makes sense. idk why they're giving up Ellington too though?? Just to save a bit? Without even getting a second back. Weird.

Ryhno adjusted his contract to get traded to Phx, so his guarantee for next year is like 15 mil instead of 20.

Even still why do the Heat want him?

Money saving trade. Johnson and Ellington were probably the odd ones out once everyone is healthy in Miami.

Right, but they were 6M above the tax and dumping Ellington gets them under. The Johnson/Anderson swap added 1M, so now they are still 1M above the cap and I dont see any salaries they can dump... Hard to figure the reasoning
