No way Marc comes off the bench

Why not? They have a +6.9 net rating in 454 mins. Why mess with it? He’s going to play 25-30 MPG each night whether he starts or not.

Because with Gasol they will be that much better...

Gasol and Kawhi in the PnR would be deadly, nvm Gasol finding open shots for Lowry and Green, and also leak out passes for Siakam or when he cuts to the basket. He could completely unlock another level offensively for that lineup.

Damn. I am starting to love the Raptors...

Lin will be huge in T-dot with the asian community. I remember that game-winner he hit with the Knicks and the Toronto crowd went wild.

Throw in Marc Gasol and an extra incentive of wanting Kawhi to re-sign, I wish the Raptors well.

Nick Nurse mantra on reg. season is flip flop Ibaka/JV on starting depending on matchups...I assume it will be the same with Marc still trying to integrate himself to the team...not until the playoffs where u will face a team max 7 games where we will see a set starting line up for the series and could change to the next series.

I don’t disagree on any of that. I can see a coach / GM saying why mess with it.

Maybe they start him from now on and I’m wrong

I could see that. Maybe even give one a night off against a lower caliber opponent.

Gasol is a great playmaker, he needs to be on the floor with guys that can shoot.

He should start

What Nurse needs to do is stagger the starters with the bench. But when Gasol is playing, shooters need to on the floor.

Agree - so ridiculous. Basically anyone on an expiring contract and non-playoff team can/will get bought out. They need to make the playoff roster be tied to trade deadline.

Good pickup, what's this mean for Vanfleet though? Guess they play Lin instead..?

No they will all share time. I see equal distribution of minutes between Kyle, Fred and Lin (Kyle has to play less minutes at least before playoffs).

Well that blows. Another year of striking out on the trading deadline and just buying out the player instead.
