Re: Which player is best at everything? The most complete player
For a modern day player;
Kawhi
his biggest weakness is play-making and hes above average at it. There's no offensive skill he lacks, he can post/shoot/pullup/offball/onball/iso/HIT FREETHROWS/offensively rebound, kickout/get to the line/flop/triple threat, finish lobs and throw lobs
Defense-wise hes a DPOY and can guard anyone 1-4 at an elite level
Lebron is a close second but his shooting from range is way too inconsistent and his freethrows are a joke
Durant pre-injury is not a bad choice but his defense is overrated outside of the paint and his playmaking is average at best

Zion, as of right now, is an awful defender even though he didn’t project to be that bad. He has a very long way to go on that end.
My answer would likely be Kawhi, especially now that he’s improved his passing.

Greek freak is obviously better and more complete than AD lol
Giannis shoots .633 from the line and AD .845. Thats not insignificant. AD doesn't have an obvious weakness,Giannis does. The question wasn't better but most complete and Giannis needs to improve that shooting or an elite defense and coach will put a good gameplan that will make it really tough for him.
lmao wow, the delusional bias is strong in you

lol and he barely made it to the playoffs. Pretty sure he's only made it twice. There's virtually no argument for AD over GA
Being a more complete player is not saying he is the better player. Davis' skillset is more complete than Giannis. His effectiveness is not though, because he is so passive at times. If he had the same motor that Giannis had he would be a better player but I wouldn't expect for that to change.
But Giannis is the younger player not just in years but in experience playing basketball. He has improved the most of this list since coming into the league. His shooting is improving as he is getting use to his added weight he’s added over the last few years. Giannis future at the rate he’s improving yearly is top 5 to 10 Player all time. And it’s not just his motor it’s his work ethic at wanting to be the best ever.

There's no best at everything. I'd like to see LeBron defend and rebound like Garnett. I'd like to see Garnett run an offense like LeBron, etc.
Most of the mentioned names are oversized ball-handlers basically.

The issue with per75 numbers;
36pts on 27 fga/9 fta in 36 mins, does this mean he'd keep up the efficiency to get 48pts on 36fga/12fta in 48 mins?
The answer; NO. He's human, not a linearly working machine.
Per75 is efficiency rate, not actual production.

Zion is an awful defender now because he was massively out of shape after his injury. What made him such a great defender at Duke was he was a ball of energy who never stopped. In the NBA he is playing in bursts of energy (almost always on offense) because he was not in good shape. When Zion gets back to his Duke shape i guarantee his defense will improve massively

He can't shoot or pass and is suspicious defender at best.
Do you even watch him? His passing is something that is always praised. And his lack of defense right now has more to do with his conditioning after the injury than his lack of ability

Jerry West and Oscae Robertson are among the most complete players ever. They didn't have any weaknesses.

For today. Kawhi is elite on offense and defense. Lebron and AD both arguably 1. When i think most complete i think Giannis still needs to prove he can hit outside shots and free throws in intense playoff games.
Kawhi isn't nearly a good enough creator to be #1. Going in to this year, his All Time High for Assists in a game was like 7. 6/9 of his seasons he has averaged under 3 Assists/game and this year is his 1st year ever averaging more that 3.5 assists

Underrated mention.
Outside of Lebron, Kobe and T-Mac, there hasn't been a more complete player in the game in the last 20 years than KD.

Durant, Pippen, Kawhi, Jordan pretty close to that level.
in terms of really versatile, all-around elite players. Pippen doesn't quite have the scoring juice, whereas MJ/Durant/Kawhi don't create quite as much offense with the pass. But they're who comes to mind in terms of super star level talents with all-around games.
If I had to think of bigs, I'd probably go KG and Hakeem. Jokic is almost there if he could make a slight upgrade on defense, AD if he could create more offense.
On the non-superstar level: the Gasol brothers, Boris Diaw, Manu Ginobili, AK-47, Lamarcus Alridge is sneaky versatile. Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups and Kyle Lowry in terms of small guards.
I'm probably missing a lot of worthy mentions, but these are the guys that came to mind.
Rubbish.
MJ was definitely proven to be amazing as the main ball-handler like LeBron & Bird has been throughout his career.
Back in March 1989, Doug Collins (Bulls coach at the time) moved MJ from shooting guard to point guard in a game against Seattle. MJ finished that game with 15 assists. 2 days later he had a game of 21/14/14 in just 30 minutes in a blowout win vs the Pacers. He reached the triple double mark in just 21 minutes. MJ continued to play PG the remainder of the season.
In those 24 games he averaged 30.4 pts, 9.2 rebs, 10.7 assts & 2.4 steals. Between March 24 & April 14, 1989, he recorded a triple double in 10 of the 11 games, including 7 consecutive. In the game MJ didn't score the TD, he finished with 40/11/7.
The reason MJ's assist numbers declined is due to him becoming a off-ball player under Phil Jackson's triangle offense system.
Someone like LeBron needs the ball in his hands to become effective since playing off-ball isn't his strongest ability.

Funny how being massively out of shape only effected him on one end of the floor....
No doubt he would be better defensively if he was in shape, but that was still far from his only problem on that end. Poor overall awareness. Poor understanding of defensive concepts. Poor footwork. He has a very long way to go just to be average let alone elite.

I don't think LBJ is actually a great answer. He's just not a good outside shooter. He's a below average 3 point shooter and a fairly poor mid range shooter. Also his FTs.
He's ATG at the rim, but average to below average from pretty much everywhere beyond that.

Re: Which player is best at everything? The most complete player
Nicolas Batum! Oh ... Ok I can't say this ^^
Best at everyting? It has never existed. Oh wait ... Wilt Chamberlain was best for assists once.
Complete? What does it mean? Able to play every position and being the best? So I would Say Magic.
Complete as best for offense and defense? I would say Jordan, and by far.
Complete as good with triple-double? Oscar Robertson (sorry but nowadays, it's seems too easy to make double digit for assists and rebounds).
Only understanding question could take hours IMO

Frank Ntilikina is a play-off player, but he goes to the Hornets.

Ntilikina - Malédon - Hayes
Coulibaly - De Colo
TLC - Rupert or Risacher
Wembanyama- Yabusele
Embiid- Poirier - Lessort [without Embiid: Fall]
