The Warriors have to get longer and more defensive minded again, before we can think about contending for a title.

So since all of the actual teams got whooped we have to create a boogeyman to beat the Lakers.

Y'all are making me like the Lakers with nonsense like that

It's hard to tell. If Draymond plays like he did this season as Mr. Triple Single, then there's zero chance. Lebron and AD would have gotten theirs, but it's tough to call. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to see next year.

Warriors defense was garbage the last two years though, still unsure what happens here.

They would definitely put up a fight. But it's not like the Lakers wouldn't be able to hold themselves.

Now with another addition and a trade of their 2nd pick GSW will probably have a big jump quality wise.

The warriors would definitely make howard and mcgee obsolete. Morris would also get exposed. Unfortunately green is not what he once was so it would depend if green or wiggins was traded for a better player

Because they were doing so well before Curry got hurt.
G - James | Rondo
G - Bradley | Caruso
F - Green | Caldwell-Pope
F - Davis | Kuzma | Morris
C - McGee | Howard

The city of San Francisco owns Los Angeles in many ways outside of just sports so no, they wouldn’t have made it because an SF team would’ve beat down a team from Southern Cal.

If the Warriors were completely healthy this past season I think they would've been a lower seed and bounced in the first round. That cast is abysmal.

This Warriors team as presently constructed wouldn't beat the Lakers in a series. Draymond is the only guy who can guard AD. Looney has done OK on him in the past, but his health is a huge question mark. Chriss is fun and I think he can be a decent in the future, but he's not going to shut down anyone on defense.

I don't doubt the healthy Warriors could win a game or two if they get hot, but this iteration of the Warriors doesn't have the size at the wings to hang with LA. But with that said, I'm more optimistic about our prospects than I was before the bubble. Paul at age 35 and Dragic at age 34 have performed really well in the playoffs. Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell both played out of their minds in the bubble. Unless you think that Mitchell and Murray have passed Steph as a player, there's no reason to think that Steph can't perform in the playoffs at age 32 next year.

The general board is obsessed with hypothetical titles. Haven’t we seen enough of these threads from Raptor fans?

As constructed the warriors cant play defense at all. They need a big and a wing defender off the bench

Taking an entire year off for Curry and Klay isnt something to take too lightly either. I dont doubt either of these two but they haven't played elite basketball for over a year now.

Draymond would have to have been in shape the whole season for them to have a chance. That remains to be seen.

I see them being the Lakers more difficult matchup next season. As good as AD is, Steph will be a lot harder to guard because of his ability to move without the ball and shoot instantly. I predict a tough contested WCF next year assuming no injuries to either team.

Next year, with Klay back, and after we add Turner?

Game. Set. Match.

you really think Turner is the difference? lol

One of the best rim protectors in the NBA who can also shoot the 3-ball?

Myles Turner would make the Warriors heavy favorites.
