I am so happy he's back. Can a assistant coach play?

Except Evan was/is extremely respected in nba locker rooms, is well known as a great chemistry guy. There’s no reason that wouldn’t carry over to coaching. Complaining about this hire is silly, you literally have zero clue about how he will be as a coach.

It’s a low risk, high upside hire.

Yeah, a couple of goofball quotes to play to the media is not the sum total of a man's life. I don't know that he's going to do a great job, but I assume Brad knows a lot more about his character than we do.

Besides, he was a multi-tool player. 10/5/5 when he was with us. There's a couple of kids on the roster that, if they could have a Turner-caliber career, we'd take it gladly.

Langford seems like the obvious fit with your last paragraph here?
(GWill will probably appreciate him as well, especially if ET is willing to play boardgames)

Yep. Came here to say having Langford on the roster may have been a factor in bringing ET in too. Turner's strengths match up with Langford's quite well, and I'm sure there's a lot Langford can learn from Turner.

I remember the days when Smart and ET would come off the bench together as the 6th and 7th men every game, and I've had a vision Langford growing into that role with Smart for a while (though both could very well be starters)

Billion dollar dreams, baby! All he does is ball. All he does is ball. Elbow jumpers and two hand dunk ball.

It's probably in the back of everyone's mind, right? ET's only 32.

Different sport, but apparently the Broncos were trying to get one of their assistant coaches onto their roster to start at QB yesterday. The NFL said no (maybe due to the rushed timeline, I'm not sure).

Also, at 32, he's literally a coach that can practice with the team full speed. That's got to count for something. It's like having another practice squad body.

Seems like he’s buddies with Smart, maybe he can help with the locker room.

The logo is back!!

Loved ET when he played for the Celtics.

I was hoping he would’ve continued to play a few more years. But this is a nice surprise.

Turner: "So what's my salary gonna be this year Brad?"

Brad: "Umm I think you still owe me for that 4 year 70 million dollar deal I got you with the Blazers."

Turner: "Yep, that's fair."

Funniest part is this is not an unearthed tweet.
