Finally! My goodness what a travesty this idiot cop was trying to get away with. I don't know what the heck they thought they were fooling by dragging this out for so long, probably thinking Masai/MLSE would fold. What a damn fool and fraudster. I'm more angry now that Masai has dropped the countersuit, this guy deserves to be made an example of.

I wish Masai did not drop the countersuit. I had hoped he would have made an example of the idiot, and had gotten him to compensate him financially, for filing this ridiculous lawsuit in the first place.

While this is 100% true, it also led to that unforgettable moment when Kyle literally pulled him out of that darkness and back to the celebration.

It was even more impactful considering it came at a time when people still questioned the relationship between them after the Demar trade.

Everybody's cool with Masai now, even Demar. Demar and Kyle just needed to get over the sting which wasn't going to happen immediately. Chalk it up to human nature on Demar and Kyle's part.

Another potential step closer to him leaving. You certainly don't want to enter a new job when you have legal obligations with a previous employer.

Or he's grateful to MLSE for backing him all the way, and he's wary of living in the US where such things happen with cops.

But then he's in the U.S. for most of the year for 2021.

As long as Masai does not come out to say "I forgive him". I am okay with this.

Murrica is crazy to me. The steady flow of negative news is mind boggling.

You have cops killing civilians
You have racism at every turn
You have Asians under attack for no reason
You have the Harvey Weinstein's and Jeffery Epstein.

How you can go from BLM movcement to attacking elderly Asians is crazy to me.

This is true but is it the "truth". Or is it the true picture? Media, the bought and paid for kind, thrives on sensational negativity bordering on hysteria. I bash Murica with the best of them but not everybody is out protesting the cops and being run over by racist muscle car drivers and not everyone was loaded into Hertz rent a vans by relocated Ice border agents. A lot of people go about their lives doing the things we all do. The reality is the nation state or institutions called such, are not meant to be corporate imperial empires. All the bad and all the social tragedy is the sound of gears grinding from the weight of being too big. Too big to be agile and too big to not be corrupted by special interests.

Of course not everyone in America is on some BS. I have plenty of family in the New York area. But you'd be surprised about the amount of crap in america that doesn't get reported or national attention. IMO it's still very much divided between the North and South where each area's thinking and morality is totally different from the other. But the media always paints things to fit their narrative be it Fox , CNN or whatever. I guess it bothers me knowing we're neighbors and so similar, Yet think and live very differently. Obviously Canada has plenty of issues of our own. But a lot of issues Americans face IMO we don't. An example would be most if not all of us feel secure going out and not being harassed or killed by Police. We feel secure enough to grow and have a family in Canada. I can't say I'd feel secure about any of that living in America. I'd be scared to have my two year old grow up in America.

Speak for yourself....the fear of being harassed or beaten by police is very real, especially if you grew up during the carding era.

The black experience exists everywhere in the world, even in places dominated by blacks where the darker you are the worse you're treated.

I can personally speak for a two of my friends in Canada ....one beaten by Toronto police at 17 back in the 90s for simply being a black kid, mistaken identity...the other beaten by crooked Peel police who planted evidence on him and ruined his pro sports career( the cop was later charged with a number of things).
Neither of these guys were in any gang or into anything criminal. Just a case of being black.

I can think of more that I don't want to discuss, I just want it to be clear that living Canada may not be as bad as America, but the struggle is still there.

Every time I'm stopped by police I fear for my life and I'm a grown family man and I don't do anything illegal.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles they have deputy gangs that operate in their sheriff's department, complete with tattoos and kill quotas to get initiation. They've paid out 55 million dollars in settlements involving deputy gang members.

I'm grateful the finals weren't in LA that year, Masai being attacked by an LA deputy could have been even worse.

If you want to read some real ****, find some articles on Baltimore's gun trace task force. The trial from a couple years ago was wild.

All those sad things exists everywhere in this world but are truly the extreme minority of the people everywhere and especially the US.

This grossly exaggerated perception is all driven by the media which has an unfortunate political agenda in a system that is created to divide people. The 95% are being divided by the sins of the 5% thru the media for gain.

Fear sells & anger divides.

i jumped on IG a year ago - it was fun at first -following athlete's and musicians and even the versus.

Then BLM happened and I have to say I've witnessed too many deaths in this past year, this stuff has made question the world period.

how can someone take a life away and not feel remorse when they've taken their last breath because of another human.

Also saw the one where three cops were laughing at breaking a 73 year old white women's bone who had dimentia

so sick, the worst part was the office was like wait for it this is where the bone breaks.

you're proud you did this to a 73 year old when in cuffs.

Really what should happen is , these officers should take off all their equipment and fight one on one and see how they come out.

World is going to ****.
