I like PG but it is BEYOND frustrating how unclutch he is in the 4th quarter in tight games. Can't make a 3, forgets how to make a layup and I swear I've never seen anyone have so many game winners splashed in their face either. Shut your damn mouth about refs screwing the team and pull your head out of your ass in clutch times.

Just remember: our incompetent front office rewarded his historically terrible playoff performance last season with an $190 million contract extension. And people still don't want to scrutinize the front office at all.

All he has to do is take to the basket and draw a foul when his shots not working. He gets to the paint with ease. Why won't he get this through his head?

Uh, maybe because the refs aren't calling fouls when he does go to the paint. Daniel Thies has more free throw attempts this game than PG in the last 2 games COMBINED

That’s a tough one to lose shorthanded

The whole shorthanded excuse would work better if we weren't equally as unclutch with our full roster. The real truth is that Kawhi is the only clutch player on this team and even he can't do it every time. There isn't a single other player we can rely on in the big moments.

True but I say he has to take that chance. If that shot isn't working late in games he's going to have to take it to the rack whether he gets a call or not. He did have a good game though even though he wasn't effective in the last few minutes yet again. His sh*t is correctable imo. Don't press, he had time, move the ball around, open jumper or take it to the rack. Its been panic ball throw up a jumper crap. Guess we can't beat teams in green

Kawhi should've brought us home in the Bucks game tbh

Lost the first game against Boston with no PG and this one without Kawhi. But the reckless play by Brown that took Mook out pissed me off. Refs didn't even go and check the monitor after he was elbowed in the back of the head. He was playing well too.
And I wouldn't be mad if Kennard is just sent to the G-League the rest of the season, he's useless

Also an extra atheletic big in the mix would help out ten fold with this team. Zu can't handle bigs more athletic than him. Robert Williams was giving him fits just like DJ did against the Nets. This is where a guy like Kabengele, if he had developed and turned into something, would've helped out big time. The draft and development is very important no matter how many stars you have

Another brutal loss. The refs are not an excuse.
I tend to agree with a lot of what Martin is saying. This team is bad. I'm seriously looking at a first round exit depending on the match up, PG cannot be trusted for anything. If Kawhi leaves, this team is seriously going to be looking like the Knicks w Melo in the last few years with no money to spend and 0 lottery picks.
WHERE IS THE DEPTH?! Where is the PG?! Where is the center when Zu is playing awful defense as he has been for many games? For all the talk last season about putting Zu back in game, he has regressed and can't even keep up with the 2nd team lineup. I miss Harrell, he at least gave us some options for a post game and players like Lou, Kennard, Reggie are horrendous on defense as well. A Montrez/Ibaka lineup would have been very effective.
Luke Kennard has the worst contract in the NBA. I cannot believe this moronic GM signed him to a deal for 4 years before he even played a regular season game. With bad knees, an inconsistent shot and confidence issues. Fire Frank. At this point send him to the G league and give Coffee his minutes IDC.
The biggest issue is of course PG. A max player with awful clutch ability, constantly fouling for "defense" and a me first attitude that permeates through the entire team.
Hopefully Kawhi is ok and Morris. I'd look sooner than later at swapping Morris for Batum in the lineup to give our other players more spacing offensively. WE desperately needed Morris this game and win with him in imo.
Not sure how much blame I can give to Lue, but the 4 guard lineup (and 3 guard lineups) were awful. Personally I blame it more on Frank for not constructing a better team in the off season.
--
Without a trade this team is at best a 2nd round exit. Even w PG scoring 30 in an ideal world our defense is still lackluster and teams constantly get into the paint with ease. Hopefully the ASB resets the team a bit, but I'm afraid it's nothing looking good at all.
on another note, it wouldn't shock me to see PG be one of if not the last picks in the draft. No way LeBron is picking him and I dont think he commands much respect around the league. What a joke this team is. Last year was our chance and bc Doc didn't change the lineups we couldn't move on.

This is an overreaction. If you think the defense is bad now, just imagine how horrible it would be with Trez. And this disappointment of a season so far would be way worse with his bad attitude and leaking stuff to the media.

It hasn’t looked the same since that Wizards game. We need some tweaks during the break

Kabengele didn't pan out and that hurt the team cause you don't have a quicker more athletic big to put on the opposing team's athletic big. Robert Williams ate Zu up tonight. DJ did the same in both games against the Nets. Hell I'd throw Oturu in before Zu in a few of these games just to see what he could do. PG with another bad ending to the game. His sh*t is fixable though imo if he'd ditch the jumper when its not falling and drive to the paint. You see he can be unstoppable in quarters 1-3. He has literally every move in the book but he sells himself and the team short with bad threes late in games. Its mind boggling. Ty Lue needs to get in his ear. The Kennard situation is getting worse by the game. How do you give him that deal without seeing him play? We win this game if Morris doesn't get hurt though. And I'm good on Trez. He caused a lot of problems in the locker room and leaked things to the media. He's a Klutch Sports guy. Him on the team wasn't going to work anyways just off that fact alone
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
