Starters shoot 0-12 (3-22 as a team) on 3s and the Wolves are still within 2 at the half. There were a lot of games the last few years where that level of shooting would mean a 20+ point deficit.

The starters don’t seem to have any rhythm offensively. No real ball movement or idea where their shots should come from.

McDaniels is what he is. Very good defensive player. Inconsistent shooter. And horrible handle. Horrible. If his shot improves, he’s a good role player. If it doesn’t, he’s Corey Brewer.

I still think Ant doesn’t look as quick when attacking. I wonder if he put on weight this offseason (might be good or bad weight), which is zapping that lightening first step. He also seems hesitant to shoot the three and people are sagging off him some.

Defense, especially the second unit with Bev/Okogie, is elite. Part of me is thinking about if we could make a Simmons for Russell deal and have Bev and Simmons in the starting unit. That’s some tough D on the perimeter.

He's mentioned it at least 3 times before. Don't know how Thibs thought Dunn was the correct pick.

Thibs was looking for the next D Rose. I guess he squinted hard enough to think Dunn could be that guy. If you couldn’t play D, you weren’t getting drafted at that time. Thibs was such a disaster as GM.

Despite the rushed play on offense, I like the way they are playing. First time in a while that I've seen a Twolves team exert consistent effort on defense. I think they are getting so physical and aggressive on defense that it's carrying over to the offensive end of the ball. Stiff shots, dribbling into places they shouldn't be, charging into situations going 100 miles per hour, and not moving the ball around. Hope to see them stay this physical on defense, but gain some laxity on offense with cooler heads.

I had heard him talk about being impressed by Murray before, but not that it was one of the three best workouts he had seen

I'll give Thibs this Dunn is exactly the kind of archetype for what he loves, he just didn't pan out but that attitude, that dog mentality, that is a great player if they got the skills.
