Doesn't Kanter more explicitly support a morally reprehensible government in his own country?

Look at his Twitter.

He has been drawing attention to these issues for a while, without attacking others.

Attacking LeBron is just a recent thing.

And obviously being in the NBA gives him the platform to have an influence.

Even if Kanter is not perfect, he is still drawing attention to these issues.

Ok but what does that have to do with people thinking he’s being “brave” for attacking Lebron? Frankly it’s cowardly.

There was nothing in the post I replied to about being brave.

I was just pointing out that his discussion on these issues is not limited to attacking others, if that is the perception you had.

You can think positive of Kanter's message, but the way he is doing it is wrong IMO.

This is low.

His comments on Udoka were low.

Lebron’s still will forever be a jackass to me for his China comments so I like the message from Kanter when no one else would dare to in the nba

No I just have no tolerance for an attention whore who is also a hypocrite.

If Kevin Durant attacks the NBA and Nike and quits to make a point, then that is mad respect.

Why is quitting more respectable? Pretty sure we already established with Kyrie that that's not the case

Even worse Kanter is doing this because there's no threat of LeBron of responding. No upside to it for him. He's basically talking ish through a barricade.

It is pretty clear why. LeBron was the one that stood up for China during the Morey situation and he wants to come off as a social justice warrior. Of course that is only when it doesn't impact his pocket book.

There is nothing wrong with that. You can choose which wars you want to fight. Why should Lebron care about China if he doesn't want to? It is not his country.

EVERYTHING is manufactured in China. They are inescapable, and the reason why they are taking over the world's economy. There is something to be said of implicit agreements, but when somebody comes at the nation for some of their egregious transgressions, it's a WHOLE other thing to directly condemn that person and call them ignorant on the issues (with absolutely ZERO substance behind your words).

No one actually cares about what’s happening in China, and they still consume goods manufactured in China. This is just a way for them to criticize LeBron.

As for Kanter, he’s clout chasing. His career is hanging on by a thread so he’s doing whatever he can to keep it alive. He could’ve said something to LeBron in person but he chose to run away. I’m sure he’ll be loud on social media though.

Why would you support an organization that pours millions into China if you truly want to make a stand against China?

Daryl Morey was a lot braver. He actually could have lost his entire career as a GM. And he was one of the best in the league too.

I'd say it's pretty bad that LeBrons position on this issue is so pathetic that he can't even defend himself because he'd have to double down on it again

Just b/c you don't care doesn't mean no one cares. Believe it or not your experience isn't the only one that exists. Quite a shock, I know!

Poor take. He knew this would be seen by millions upon millions and is making a statement that Lebron is quiet to any comments negative towards China (and in fact in being the face of the league, has been clearly PRO China). He has done this his entire career (in posts, comments and now otherwise re social injustices on a myriad of issues) and he's still here.

Just decided I'm getting a Kanter jersey.
