...now we just need Musiala to get back into the form he was in the first half of last season and we might just outscore teams at the euros!
Are we seeing a new gen of German wunderkids
Sorta? The U17 and U21 teams have won titles recently...with the U17 team being amongst the favorites to win the WC that starts next week...and there's a ton of talented creatives/attackers in the pipeline; so much so that we're already losing really talented prospects like Samardzic (Serbia) & Wanner (Austria) to the other NTs they are eligible to represent...but there's a lot less depth further back.
There are some very promising young German defensive midfielders and defenders developing at the senior level...kids like Martel, Schlotterbeck, Thiaw, Morgalla, Netz, etc. look like they could be quality starters for the NT in their primes...but there isn't nearly the same depth that there is further forward, and none of them are as exceptionally talented as Musiala, Wirtz, Moukoko, & Brunner.
So jein

EDIT:
It's funny how NTs can be. Despite our defense being such a big concern that nobody should be shocked if we got bounced in the group stages again; we're so deep in the creative areas that a player like Kimmich can be stapled to our bench even though he would likely start for any other NT...even France's, in place of Rabiot*...and a guy like Gnabry can fall entirely out of the picture.
Shame we can't just trade some of our creative depth for a few of those young French defenders because looking at the youth teams the picture is much the same

Our list of exciting young attackers & creatives is more than twice as long as the list of exciting defensive prospects.
*at least until Warren Zaire Emery is ready to take over, because that kid is just insanely talented. He might be their best prospect since Mbappe, despite how well kids like Tel, Doue, Cherki, & Barcola are doing.
