Thibs gotta go
Our third best player on the team played 18 minutes.
Grimes mins needs to be plunged to 5 and DNPs

Re: PG: First Loss against a Losing Team. So it Begins....
Thought this was by far Thibs worst coaching performance of the season...
Thibs minutes distribution can obviously be wonky but tonight was on a whole other level. Unless there was some sort of limit on Quickley, then him getting 18 minutes tonight and Grimes and Hart combining for 45 minutes is an absolute atrocity of a coaching decision given how this game played out.
He waited way too long to get Divincenzo back out there in the 4th and rode Randle the entire 3rd quarter which meant he had to rest the early 4th when Utah ran away with it.
Now Thibs isn't all to blame either... Brunson was a true horror show and he's been off for about a week or so now. Foul baiting on one end (just to miss free throws mind you) and then being picked on on the other end. He looked more like Trae Young than Jalen Brunson. I also thought his command of the offense was downright horrendous tonight. Randle constantly was making the right decision all night and Brunson basically went into "I got this" mode and it completely torpedoed the comeback a few times.
Even the last look at 3 Randle made a great play to read the help and get it to Hart for a wide open 3. He missed it but IQ gets a rebound and Brunson instead of giving it back to EITHER a wide open Randle or a relocating Quickley to shoot a 3 who were in plain eyesight shoots a 3 over 2 Jazz defenders and misses...So uncharacteristically selfish and stupid of him. He needs to be better for us to survive this stretch period.
Randle was the only reason this game was close. He continues to just absolutely overwhelm any and every one in his way in the paint. Even mixed a couple of tough 3s in the second half too. I know it's not the prettiest to watch sometimes and it leads to some errors, but man it's our most effective offense right now. Just an absolute force. Cool to see after an awful start to the season.
Anyway, these losses happen and I think this was a good wake up call for this team. First really bad loss since the short handed Cavs game. I expect them to come more focused on Friday

Re: PG: First Loss against a Losing Team. So it Begins....
Just an ugly, ugly performance by everyone, including the coach.
Management needs to execute a consolidation trade soon since we have too many players who deserve minutes and not nearly enough minutes for them all. Quick was hotter than a firecracker and got only 18 minutes! I don't get it. And about RJ...the less said, the better.
We have Fournier and Deuce rotting away on the bench and too few minutes for all the reserves who deserve to play. The log jam is clearly playing with players' minds, particularly Grimes - who basically saved our season last year when he replaced Fournier and then saw his role get smaller, and smaller, and smaller. His confidence is clearly shaken.
With IQ, we have no idea if he will receive an offer for money so crazy that you wouldn't want to match. And yet we can't significantly increase his minutes should he come back.
Our front office isn't completely incompetent, as in the past - but it is simply terrible at roster construction.
Madness. I'm too old for this schit.

RJ single-handedly ruined the entire second quarter for us. There's something wrong with his mind. Just abysmal basketball.

Good to see Julius continuing his strong play as of late....
If Randle can be that 22/10/5 guy on 48%/35%/75% then it makes building around Brunson and Randle much more easy....of course I have zero trust that he will continue on this trajectory but who knows....

I blame the shock of Utah's atmospheric conditions. Shoot 23% from 3 and under 70% FT yet lose by just 4 on the road. I'll give them a pass on it.

Bad shooting night = something "wrong with his mind"?
One loss and folks stop making any kind of sense.

We might just need to accept that without Mitch, we're neither a good defensive nor offensive team. We're a solidly .500 team at best, so this is to be expected. Taj Gibson isn't going to save us, unfortunately.

what a loss...
RJ, Hart and Grimes absolutely abysmal. Brunson and Hartenstein bad as well.
just Randle, DDV and IQ came to play.
ugh. did not see this L coming.

Combined 0-20 from 3 for this gang and we had a shot at the end
also various free throw misses down the stretch
these numbers are just crazy.
