He's staked all his claims on Kerr or Kuminga or Podz(or whomever the target of his hate du jour is) not actually being good at their jobs no matter how successful the outcome is. He's the only guy on the board that is happy when the team does poorly and glum and irritated when the team does well. He's staked everything on being a contrarian no matter what the evidence shows, which is why he's so intolerable.

Nah I'd happily eat crow if that happened, just like I have in the past for other dumb takes I've made. That's the difference between you and I.

Of course I don't just automatically fellate and defend the FO/coaching staff for everything, and thus have never said anything so mind-bendingly stupid like your quote in my sig (which three different people from general board messaged me to confirm it was real btw LOL)

Wait, so are you currently eating crow considering how well Wigs is playing and how poorly Lauri has started out? Or the fact that the team is clearly good enough to compete (not saying they'll win) and we're not "wasting curry's remaining years" or whatever nonsense you were preaching when the Lauri deal fell through? You can't possibly think adding that defensive sieve at the expense of moving wigs, podz, jk and picks was actually a good idea? Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!

oh look we're 2 losses away from 10th place LOL

this goofy ass thread took two weeks to age like milk. good thing we have podz instead of lauri though right guys

22.5pts per game isn't look like a monster.

50mln/per season, 5 picks, Podz + 2 rotation players for 20pts player on the worst team in the league. Is this your salvation deal?

Are you comparing Steph with Lauri?

So Lauri is good at what apart shooting/scoring? Defence? Rebounding? Has good health? Has PO experience? What is his stats trajectory looking from 1st year in Utah? (TS%, WS/48, BPM, PER, REB/100p, PTS/100p, BLK/100p)

If we can get 5 1sts for him it’s probably time to do it

So can the grownups talk about trading Steph again now?

it's time to blow this up and trade steph curry while he's still valuable or we're not going to sniff another championship until the second half of the century

We’re not sniffing another championship regardless. You think this fo/owner is going to be able to build a championship team from scratch when they were given the goat?

The dream of getting a KD to Phoenix like haul for Steph is just that's dream. When you take into account teams he makes sense for, salaries the new CBA etc. it would just be a bad team. Everyone with rebuild dreams, just hold your breath for two years and you'll get a Warriors team with a ton of cap space, mostly all their own draft picks and you can enjoy another decade or two of the lottery and draft being the biggest days on the team calendar-while you convince yourself that the next Antawn Jamison, Joe Smith. Ironically Mike Dunleavy Jr. etc. will turn the franchise around.

Just like it was before Steph.

Except the only success the team has known was…

… through the draft. So lets get those picks coming in!

It’s also where most of their failure has come from-and the guys responsible for their draft success are long gone.

The guys responsible for the draft successes were universally regarded as idiots on this board before Curry.

Because outside of him, they were.

Then they brought in Jerry West among others who made the calls for Barnes, Klay and Dray.

He’s gone. Arguably their best scout in Schlenk is gone.

So everyone’s in a hurry to go back to the suck and draft model with Dun and the Lacob’s making the decisions? Good luck.

Its not that we are in a hurry. Its that its the best option.

When MDJr finds a good crop in the draft, people will be talking about how MDJr is gone later on and the current crew are idiots.

No it’s not imo. It’s the most fun NBA 2K option. Best option is to build around Steph and Dray for the next 2-3 years without giving up any post Steph assets.

After that, tons of cap space and all their first round picks. Can suck and draft until hearts content then and root for the next Dunleavy, Murphy, JRich, Pietrus, etc.

Bet on Dunleavy and his input versus the Lacob’s if you want. Let’s not act like he wasn’t in the building for Wiseman, JK, Moody, Nico etc. decisions

So the best move is to suck and draft and hope a star falls into the laps of a bunch of mediocre to bad talent evaluators?

Pass.
