Denver if they can’t make a playoff seeding run. Jmo.

I expect that the market will be very thin. Most of the competing teams that could use extra secondary type players either can't make deals for CBA reasons or don't have any expendable late 1sts (and those types of players aren't getting anything better). Sellars may have to settle for 2nd(s) but many already have enough spare low-level picks that they aren't going to care about them.
CBA rules also make any sort of salary matching for a star type of trade difficult so those are less likely (and few teams below play-in consideration have an actual star to trade).

I think I saw a headline by Windy saying that there will be less trade deadline moves this year partly due to the contract situation around the league.
Trade enthusiasts will be disappointed, there will be no big names like Lavine traded.

Dallas has made deadline deals like 7 or 8 years in a row. But I expect that streak to end. They have little in matching salary and little in assets. And don't have a need for a 7th or 8th man type(they guys they could realistically trade for). They could use upgrading their best 5, but there isn't really a great path to that.

Agreed. That said, I think Rob Williams is Thunder bound. I would put money on it. They have a need and have the players and picks to get a deal done.
A trusted Blazer insider on the RGM board has confirmed he's heard from multiple sources the Blazers have a standing deal on the table for Williams that will return a first round pick, so the Thunder really seems like the only logical destination when looking at pick stash, salaries and need.
I don't expect it to be a good FRP returned for him, but one thats heavily protected and likely ends up as 2nd rounders or just doesn't convey for anything if it doesn't meet the convey criteria within the timeframe.
he would be the third center on a healthy Thunder team. idk if they'll pay a lot for a third string center.
I don't know anything about this "insider" so no aspersions on that poster. But it just doesn't pass a smell test that Portland has a first round return on a player known to get hurt all the time and not cashing out on him before that happens. Especially since they have their center of the future on the roster and another one on a max deal.

I am expecting my Sixers to do something I don't know what that something is. I don't think they can afford to do nothing and watch this expensive roster fail.

Which teams will be active and which GMs have their jobs on the line?
There are a lot of teams that still have their MLE to use. Not sure where to find that list.
Raptors Brown, Boucher, Olynyk, Mitchell and probably could be convinced to trade others like Poeltl, Barrett to a really good offer. Only Barnes, Dick, Agbaji and rookies are likely tough to pry away.
Edit https://www.salaryswish.com/mid-level-exception
That's a handy list, but it doesn't seem to account for unlikely bonuses, which count towards Apron totals. This, of course, affects the non-Taxpayer MLE since the line for that is the 1st Apron.

They won't, at least not as active as they should. Rob Williams will likely be the only move.

Yeah I'd say you'd lose the money you'd put on that one.
OKC have their bigs set, and if Chet isn't healthy come playoff time there's basically no shot at a title anyway.
Besides Rob makes 12 mil, we don't even have enough dead salaries on the team to match his salary.
I'd say there's basically no chance the Thunder goes for someone like him.

Re: Less than 60 Days before the Trade Deadline, Which teams will be Active?
nothing of importance will happen.
the stupid new rules make it imposible to do trades.
you can not even blow the team and start a rebuild because there arent teams that can absorbe your contracts without getting into limitatiojns aprons and the rest of the ****.
boring.
and goes against the idea of " parity" and competivity, what it makes its having the league become stagnant for years.

25 or so games in, this feels like one of the soonest players have been made available. Some are carry overs from the previous season, but still.
Like I didn't expect Pels to be taking feelers for Herb Jones. Seems like just the type of player they'd want to keep. But here we are.

Re: Less than 60 Days before the Trade Deadline, Which teams will be Active?
Pistond are really the only ones who can absorb a bigger contract and want to win. With so many owners wanting to stay out of the luxury tax (since the tax payers are all egregiously high), they aren't incentivized to lose out on that free money due to revenue sharing.
So I expect the Pistons to be the team. Indiana may also try to get Duop Reath since they have an open roster spot and need a backup 5. Reath is basically 4th string in Portland, but he's a good player. Portland is just really deep at the 5 spot with Ayton, Clingan and Timelord.

Hawks:
Cody Zeller - hasn't been with the team all year
Then the usual vet suspects: Capela, Bogi, Nance - would need to upgrade the team
Then there is De'Andre Hunter who has had a resurgence off the bench.
