Doesn’t pretty much every player deal with this at some point in the season?

Of course there’s different levels to it

It's does get better over time though once you're allowed to rest and once it goes away you're back to 100% so that's the good part. It's basically like having a really sore knee for a prolonged period of time.

Took me about a year to get over it 100%...

Yeah tendinopathy lingers, it doesn't go away easy at all.

It all depends on the severity though, hopefully what Towns is suffering from is mild

Never say never but, it is a sad reality for the most part. I'm still gonna try to enjoy watching the team win in spite of Thibs but, if it gets like last season again, I want Thibs fired immediately. The starting lineup is good but, maybe not as good as the inflated stays suggest. We can't play them 40 minutes a night and expect them to be healthy. We can't seem to win without doing that though. It's the same things as GSW/CHI/LAL etc. Thibs is the guy before the guy. Many of us have been saying this for years. The time is coming near for him though. He has to turn this around and shut us all up or, STFU and GTFO.

Agreed, if this losing streak continues, something will have to give. I’m sure Leon will pull a rabbit out of his ass and complete a trade but that will only continue the orc’s time here.

He tore his meniscus in March, he's playing the most minutes he's played since he was 22, tendinopathy is an overuse related injury. Some of you are honestly weird, willing to defend Tom to the point you're fine with jeopardizing the health of the team. KAT turns 30 this year, is coming off knee surgery in March, and you think now's the time to defend the coach who is playing him more than anyone has done in almost a decade.

Yeah it's really weird, it's almost as if it has to be all or nothing.

Thibs is a very good NBA coach who - for the most part - puts his team in a position to succeed basketball-wise. Of course I occasionally have some gripes with his decisions but he has elevated the franchise and given us multiple seasons of good basketball.

However, to argue that he hasn't compromised his players' health is a display of delusion or denial. While not all of our injuries in the last couple of years were his fault, he has been a hazard for his players and it might very well cost a real shot at contention somewhere down the line.

The clearest example is OG. His playing time is obvious malpractice.

So is Leon Rose failing to put guardrails around this issue.

And last nights game, he went 3 deep on the bench! FO had a talking to him.
Still no Kolek or Pac or Hulk, who all looked ok earlier in the season.

When someone with his coaching prowess doesn’t know how to rest players and do rotations,
In a weird way, it makes you wonder, if we all see it, how come he can’t?

Thibs, do you really want failure? If not, change.
Now a losing streak might help him see the light.

Tendons are the most mysterious soft tissue in the body. World experts have different opinions on best ways to treat and research is still inconclusive at times.

What KAT has might be largely resolvable in a short timeframe ie 10 - 14 days; however that’s best case.

Depending on the severity, average humans with average medical care often deal with tendinopathy for 3+ months. Given he’s an athlete with top doctors helping, it’s more likely to be max 4 weeks unless it’s a severe case.

We need Mitch back. I’d also to see Hart come off the bench.

If Thibs wants to run the guys hard another option would be to sit each player every eight-to-ten games or so. Staggered of course.
I dunno.

This condition is also conveniently being presented as something recent. It’s a chronic condition KAT has played with for some time. It’s also not new to the injury report.

How about not playing him huge minutes in the first game of a B2B and then leaving him in in the final minutes of a blow out the second game? While playing him the most minutes since 7 years ago?

It's not Thibs fault? Really? Our bench is on a twenty year record for least amount of minutes and guys are limping around playing 40+ minutes a game. You don't see a reason for this at all? Just a coincidence?

I used to say that the vocal 1% of idiots will be silenced 99% of the time by how wrong they are. But now they run America, so…

I doubt KAT sits out 4 games, let alone 4 months. They will continue to play him maximum minutes.

Name a Thibs center who HASN’T missed time with injury?

a thought. would def address the total minutes side of the concern.

but the league penalizes healthy scratches. i think you could get away with it in the case of long-term injury management. mitch is probably the only player who meets that criteria.

despite the tone, the team has been quite healthy so far.

It's nice that some of you younger fans will get to experience the full Amare experience. Minus burning the amnesty clause on the wrong guy.
