during Melo/Amare days a 100+ GT pages were a norm... nowdays we make only what we used to do before the games

part of it is social media has changed the dynamic. people go to twitter, reddit, etc instead of here.

Also, there's a lot of negative energy that level headed folks try to avoid. The game thread has devolved into a few folks, smelling their own farts.

The Knicks have essentially gone from the NBA's worst franchise and laughingstock to a top 8 team, possibly top 5 and the energy feels the same. If you read the threads you get the impression the knicks are a lottery team or fringe play in team and not sitting at 28-16.

My preferred outcome of the regular season is anyways getting the 4th seed, play the Pacers in the first round and Cavaliers in the second. Feel like this gives us the best chance of going to the ECF instead of potentially going through Orlando and Boston.

facebook was at its peak back then... other social media are pure garbage in sports... way worse then any other field

statistically that isn't true. FB users has grown tremendously since back then. I agree there isn't any good sports dedicated app/site. Back in the day I used boxden (still do somewhat) - nowaways i use reddit more.

hawks are 19th rated defense - worse than us (15th)

they have a rep of being a good defense because they're athletic but they're not based on stats.

they're 13th based on last 15 games, so better of late but still

we have the 23rd ranked defense in past 15 games (eww)

stats are good but there is no stat for "how you play specific opponents"
ATL hates us with a passion- you would too if you were the home team and your arena turns into the opponents arena

Most complete game I’ve seen us play the entire season. We competed on both ends and Mikal really made it tough for Trae. Complete team defensive effort and we played the bench.

Ehhhh.. Hawks aren't anything special but they were playing well and just beat the champs. I consider this a solid win. It also showed glimpses of what our defense could look like and what a team with semi-proper substitution patterns could look like. The fossil made some adjustments and it's an inch in the right direction.

Significant win because they were supposed to be our kryptonite. A big athletic team that plays with high pace. We showed that we could counter that , even with Kat playing a 50% due to the thumb.

Thibs haters silenced.

I hate Young, Capela, Daniels and their coach with those goofy oversized red glasses (something Iron Mantis would def wear I bet) so this one was one of the sweetest wins of the season! Hated how we came out and got down double figures but kudos to Thibs and the team for settling down and getting back into the game. Bridges played a heck of game at both ends! Abused that midget and held him in check on the other end and you can tell he hates him too.

So good to see the Cap torching Daniels. You can tell JB hates him and takes that match up personally and he just owned him! Fouled his ass out and waved him goodbye! KnicksGMen can EAD with his JB hate!

KAT was a little rusty but those **** referees gave him no call! Highlighted by that woman with the big ass! I wouldn't be surprised if Adam Silver found her on onlyfans and offered her a referee job with no experience cause she was beyond brutal! Missed calls right in front of her!

I think it's pretty simple if the bench produces when given the opportunity they will get more minutes and all 4 guys added something. You take 24 points from that group every game!
