Wasn't Gilbert Arenas briefly arrested for something similar?

Wonder if there's any relations. He did yell out loud at the time that he's gonna rat on everybody to get himself off as he didn't actually participate.

I can see it impacting Billups' chances if it involved him participating in any of the games he was part of. But not sure how any of this impacts Lowry either way.

The Billups accusations are bad, really bad. I'm not one for hyperbole but if what is alleged is true, he's likely facing jail time.

The funniest part of today is all the Heat and Blazers fans hoping the charges stick so they can get rid of those guys.

Billups was apparently sharing Dame's availability to bettors, so it's not just the poker thing. For the NBA that's a huge scandal.

I have no sympathy for anyone arrested and hope they received the maximum penalty and are banned permanently from the league - hopefully, the message will sink in for others but there will always be people who think they are smarter than the law.
