I really wanted the Dame thing to work and actually kept fooling myself into thinking he was a good player at the end.

Others have said it but we don’t miss him at all.

Wow

But he got the stare down over Giannis! You knew that wasn’t going to end well

This team is such a more bearable watch already than last year. I'm thoroughly enjoying our pace, style, and the roster fits so much better around Giannis, which I think we all learned is more important than getting a second superstar to play with him. Lots of room for improvement, especially defensively; but a lot to be encouraged and excited about early on here.

I know we have the Cavs Sunday. But I am already hyped for the Bucks and Knicks at home Tuesday on NBC.

It's going to be a great test for the Bucks but it's also going to be cool to watch an NBA on NBC broadcast in the Giannis era.

Can’t wait to see this group healthy together.

RJ has looked good. If he came off the bench. I would not be mad.

However, if I'm Horst, I would hold out for Mathurin or Grimes.

If Giannis did this stare down, he gets a tech 10 times out of 10. I have watched it happen. He has been very careful not to get in the face or stand over people lately. I probably don't do that to Giannis unless the game is well in hand, or I am a bum and it will be the highlight of my career -- because Giannis is going to make you the next Aaron Baynes.

Being a Bucks fan is fun again.

I'll only speak for myself, but Dame made being a Bucks fan miserable for me.

Highly recommend reading the Toronto game thread when you get a chance. They spent all night crapping on the roster around Giannis while that said roster was giving them the business.

Think there's some players on this team that can make a name for themselves in this league playing next to Giannis. We can be good and fly under the radar on teams.

I'm not worried about the FT shooting from Trent and Cole. They're both over 80% for their careers and unless I see this happen a couple more times in the coming weeks I can chalk it up it to a weird anomaly.

But overall, not a great performance but a really good win. Anytime you shoot worse from 3, are -7 in FT made and lose the turnover battle is one that you have to be happy to come away with the win. The two big things, one micro and one macro the micro is that they outscored them 14-8 over the last 3:45 and the macro is that Toronto shot almost 70% on 2's vs Atlanta and tonight that was down to 53%

Honestly could see Giannis bonding with this team so much because they are young and hungry. Giannis and all of us dont like complacent players. They had a couple of those last year and that energy around a team wears on guys. Cole, KPJ and GT, Rollins have all been great moves by Horst. Sure he ran the cupboards empty but he can still find players for value in FA, always has. Believe.

Agreed. I'm hoping it reminds him of his national team. Good players playing team ball, defending and hustling. Might be looked at as underdogs but with Giannis, anything is possible and he'll elevate everyone around him.

Many thanks to Muddy York. Here's hoping the Blue Jays lose the series to the Dodgers too, forcing MLB to do something -- anything -- about their payroll disparities.
