Lu Dort and Ryan Nembhard to Hawks for Zacc and 3 2nds

I don't agree with the Zach trade, but I see what Onsi is doing and I kind of agree with it.

The Hawks are starting to remind me of the MVP Iverson Sixers or Ben Wallace Pistons, which is basically 1 super star and then 4 elite defensive players around him.

Right now its going to be JJ who is going to be Lebron on offense and then Dort, DD, OO, and NAW around him to play defense (also added Zuby who is basically the Ben Wallace of his draft class).

I do like adding a defensive player when you already have your star player, as opposed to adding more offensive players when you already have an all star on your team. Kind of like when the Bucks added Holiday instead of Lillard.

You mean...what they attempted to do with Trae plus defenders but didn't quite get there? We did that era Pistons already back in the JoeJ days. LeBron could still defend.
Hawks need their own identity vs trying to rip odd another team when we don't have The One!

Drafting a 19 year old international talent is something we don't need to do going forward if we're not going to take the proper steps to develop them. Same for any international players.

The main problem with this philosophy, maybe coming more from Ressler than Quin or Onsi themselves, is that it keeps the team just above average on sport level, but at the same time makes it one of the most profitable franchise in the world!

This team had more than $200M of operating income last year (7th highest in the world) and is owned by a guy who:
- made money with money
- bought the team in 2015 far lower than its current value
- had a net worth in 2015 of $1.5 billion and is now at $12 billion.

Why would he change anything in how to run this team?
It's perfect for him and his wife/kids, they got entertainment and money
Trying to compete for a title would bring entertainment too, but less money

Everytime we change GMs the philosophy changes, hence so will the players. So there will always be a rest, a reboot with the mantra being 'we can't spend' until we see what we have and let the young guys develop.
