Maybe the talk about the Redskins and Rams talking is part of a 3 way trade.

The Steelers could be the 3rd team. The 1st overall is too much for Big Ben, but maybe the skins pick and Big Ben goes to the Rams, the 1st goes to the Steelers, the Skins get the Steeler's pick and extra picks. The Rams could still pick Claussen with the Skins pick.

Brilliant! I think we could make out like bandits, similar to what we got when we facilitated Ditka trading his whole draft to get Ricky Williams. Essentially, PIT would be trading Ben+18 to STL for the #1. Then, STL trades the #18 and a slew of other picks for our #4.

Or we just do the right, non-splashy move and draft a LT. Love the pick. I was relieved when I saw Sam Bradford was drafted #1 by THE RAMS.

Only thing I was pissed about all night is the Cowboys picked up Dez Bryant. I think that guy will be a top ten WR before long.

Agreed. I was surprised he fell as far as he did. If he keeps his head, he makes the 'Girls offense even better and makes them the division favorite IMO.

If that's true I'm a HUGE fan. We don't necessarily need more picks, just more competent offensive lineman. I'd take 29 year old who's proven he's Pro Bowl material and just won a super bowl over a unproven rookie who's not a sure thing anyways.

That would mean they took a right tackle at #4 (supposedly a no-no) but it would make sense from an on the field football perspective. We can then make Heyer our backup swing-tackle.

If Williams can play RT at a high level for a couple of seasons and then move to LT once he gets the hang of the NFL that could be a good thing. I think the versatility of Williams made him the best option. The past couple years things have gotten really bad for the Skins Line when there was an injury or 2. Williams even played Center in the game against Stanford.

Couldn't agree more about Williams' versatility adding to his value. Yeah, we need a LT, but what position on the line don't we need? Pile 'em on for all I care, as long as they are quality linemen.

Shanny has made questionable picks before, but I tend to trust him on this Oline pick after he drafted Ryan Clady in Denver. That man is a beast.

I don't know what our plan of attack is from here on out, but there is some serious talent still available to us. I can't fathom how Bruce Campbell is still out there, just a week ago some still had him going in the bottom of the 1st or beginning of the 2nd round. Drafting him would mean we possibly have shored up both tackle positions for the next decade. Jonathan Dwyer and Anthony Dixon both could be a back of the future that would be a huge factor beginning next year when our antique three amigos may be all gone. Ricky Sapp could be a stud in the 3-4, which as of now we lack the LBs to run well. Carlton Mitchell o USF is a physical beast at WR, and even somebody like John Skelton wouldn't be a bad pick, a guy who has the tools to learn behind McNabb for a few years and then become a starter.

The general consensus is Bruce Campbell will take 2-3 years to develop. I dunno, in the 4th round, I think I would have taken him.

Not sure why we're taking yet another TE, but I like the focus on the O-line. And at least we didn't draft another punter. Can't wait to see these guys in action!

Keep your eye on Capers. We worked him out, and it's very possible he could make the team. Austin will probably be our return guy, and Morris is a blocking tight end-h-back. No threat to Cooley or Davis.

Considering he was a 7th round guy who caught less than 40 balls last year, I'm pretty excited about Austin making it as our return guy. Randel El set us up for good field position about once or twice a year, the rest of the time it looked like he was auditioning for dancing with the stars. I've always envied teams with an actual return specialist.

I kind of figured we would draft a late round QB that Shanny would start working on as "his" QB of the future, and when we didn't I just chalked it up as the class was weak.

We did, however, sign undrafted Daryll Clark of Penn State. He didn't set the world on fire and he seems a little raw, but he's a beast of a physical specimen. He ran a 4.4 40 and is super athletic. Maybe with a couple years of molding he can be something legit down the road. Right now I don't see it, but I trust management's eyes more than mine.

Based on the article it might be Colt Brennan this year. They probably bring an undrafted guy on the practice squad.

Hopefully they check the waiver wire for QB, OL and LB depth.
