I am with you on the stats of Charles Jenkins. They point out his isolation scoring is more proficient than Fredette's.
I see Jenkins as a really good second round pick. Like a Wesley Matthews, his college body of work suggests he should stick the next level. Might be as good as Nolan Smith, or better.
Boy, that name doesn't even ring a bell. Sorry if I sound more ignorant than usual, but what school does he play for? You guys aren't talking about John Jenkins from Vandy, are you?

Perry Jones has a good shot at being the 1st pick, but I wouldn't pick him for the Zards. I question his desire, and the last thing we need is another under-achiever.

Ruz, I only know him by his Hofstra stats and by a mention of Jenkins by Fran Fraschilla on one of ESPN's college hoops shows.

Thanks, CCJ. He does have some very impressive stats. When I saw him listed at 6'3 220, I thought - sounds like an Austin Freeman type situation. I don't see any write-ups on him.

If Jordan Williams were to come out this year, where would he go? (and don't say something smart like "triangles: the nightclub")
Is he a late lotto pick?
Dude can rebound... And will be able to at the next level.
Does he have a position in the NBA?
Can he score on the next level?

Think poor man's Horford - though Horford has shown he can hit from the perimeter and Jordan hasn't. He is shooting up in mocks to about mid 1st round. I think where he goes depends on how he measures and if he convinces teams he can hit 15 footers. I think he's only 6'9 in shoes with a short reach. If he can't convince teams he can play PF, he slips. Personally, I think he stays another year at MD.

Lots of up-side left, he needs to get his body fat down and work-out more. Jordan's got potential as a banging PF-type but needs another year of college hoops under his belt.

Re: Chicken Littles: Sky done fell! Draft Thread 2011
You could be right there, closg. I'm thinking - how much better shape can he get in - considering he's in so much better shape this year than last, but... he could very well still get the body fat down. There was a graphic the other game that said he was 282 (gulp) last year and is 262 this year. If he could lose maybe another 15 lbs of fat while keeping his strength, that's gotta make him quicker and could improve his leaping. Show he's got a 15 foot jumper, and all of a sudden - he's lotto quality. If I was him, I'd seek out Blake Griffin to work out with this summer.

This is shaping up to be a dream draft for undersized PF's.
Speaking of which, Booker is posting a PER of 13 so far this year (in 12.4 minutes per game) with an on/off differential of +2.1. That's not bad for a rookie big.

Did anyone catch the Duke/Maryland game last night? I really like Singler as a hybrid forward, maybe as a late 1st round pick (if we do get another pick) or a 2nd round pick.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Yup. I bet he ends up in San Antonio. He's a player without a position, but he is definitely a player. He and Booker would make an interesting pairing as backup forwards - I'd play them together off the bench.

High basketball IQ as well. We need more of these guys on the team.

If your looking for the next Adam Morrison to avoid, its Singler. Except he is nowhere near as good a shooter off the dribble as Morrsison. Stay away from Singler.

So maybe more Andy Rautin than Landry Fields. Morrison would have been about average for a 2nd round pick.

No, because Singler is a catch and shoot guy - not a shooter off the dribble. There's a big difference in the Wiz offense. And while Singler isn't going to stop anyone 1 on 1, he's a good team defender. Ammo never played defense on any level. Nobody's saying Singler's going to be a star, but he can be a good team player as a 3rd or 4th forward - something Ammo never was.

A 5 inch taller version of Rautin.

I noticed Coach K ran the same play about 3 or 4 times, a bubble screen or just a normal screen where Singler caught and shot the ball. Made about 3 in a row, at one point I think he scored 11 in a row? DX has him going 27th to the Heat. Sounds about right. He'll go around that range.

Singler is taller, stronger, and quicker than Morrison. He also has a more complete game.
His game reminds me a lot of Matt Harpring. Upside might be Danny Granger. His downside is a dime-a-dozen tweener forward who can't defend either position. I'll be curious to see his lane agility and wingspan measurements.
