That's probably it. Hopefully Bender doesn't mind coming to America to sit on the bench. His younger brother's projected to be a 2016 lotto pick. I'd expect to see a 3 man guard rotation for most of the minutes - with Trimble, Brantley, and Sulaimon. Wiley and Nickens are going to have to settle for less PT than I'm sure they were expecting. Nickens may be more talented, but I'm more a Wiley fan. They'll both get PT when they're juniors. Same with Cekovsky - who could eventually develop into a nice player.

nickens will get minnutes backing up jake. wiley's mins will go down, but i fully expect him to be one of the go-to guys his junior and senior years.

Mid-Interview, Haskins Delivers First Commitment: Ohio DT Pooler

Dwayne Haskins didn't wait long to earn his first stripes as a recruiter for Maryland football.

Haskins arranged to have Ohio defensive lineman Jeffery Pooler commit live on the radio of his interview on ESPN980 Saturday morning. In the middle of the interview, Pooler was unexpectedly introduced by host Tim Murray, who asked where he'll attend college.

"[In] 2016, I'll be a Maryland Terp," said Pooler, a 6-foot-4, 272-pound defensive tackle at Chaminade-Julienne High in Dayton. "We gotta get everybody else on board now."

Haskins said he's been talking on Twitter to Pooler, who chose the Terps over offers from Air Force, UConn and several MAC schools, for a few weeks. He also had interest from Ohio State, Louisville, Florida State and others.

"I think he's a a great athlete a great player and I feel he can help me win a national championship," Haskins said.

Murray: "I still don't understand what just happened."

Terek Zingale Commits To Maryland

Maryland football picked up its second commit of the day when Ohio offensive tackle Terek Zingale announced his commitment Saturday night.

"I just felt comfortable with Maryland. The academics, the coaching staff, everything about Maryland made me feel comfortable about the school," Zingale told IMS.

The three-star from Macedonia, Ohio, chose Maryland over offers from Illinois, Ohio and others. He becomes the 10th commit for the 2016 class and the third in two days, highlighted by four-star Dwayne Haskins' commitment on Friday. Earlier Saturday, Maryland added another Ohio prospect -- Dayton defensive tackle Jeffery Pooler.

Zingale chose Maryland over offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Akron, Ohio and Toledo, along with interest from Michigan State, Duke and others.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Zingale visited Maryland in April

Sounds like a nice fit - he'd sit out a year (when we're stacked anyway, so he can learn and mature coming off a disappointing frosh year) and have 3 years of eligibility - maybe replace Layman.

Maryland basketball looks like it will be absolutely SICK next season.

Neither Lefty nor Gary ever had a more talented roster.

On Brantley’s Boston Amateur Basketball Club team he teamed up with former Syracuse star and NBA lottery pick Michael Carter-Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers.
--He also played with former Kentucky star and lottery pick Nerlens Noel, Kansas forward Wayne Sheldon, Iowa State guard George Niang and future Maryland teammate Jake Layman.
--He’s also gone up against the likes of Massachusetts prep hoops legend Shabazz Napier, who helped UConn win a national title last season before being drafted by the Miami Heat.

With two 21-year olds eligible immediately, with Carter already on campus and practicing with the team a year and Sulaimon being an ideal fit; the Terps are loaded.

Maryland will be preseason ranked ahead of Duke and Kentucky.

In all seriousness, Trimble and Sulaimon vs Wall and Beal wouldn't be as lopsided as one might think. That's SCARY!

Honestly, it will be interesting to see if there's a cohesiveness and sharing with this team. Seems like they have EVERYTHING on paper. Shooting, rebounding, perimeter play, interior play, veteran leadership, TALENT, and they're well-coached. The only thing I think could hold them back is that there's only one basketball and SEVERAL GUYS that want to play in the NBA.

The entire starting 5 might play in the NBA some day. Dodd and/or Cevosky also have legit aspirations. Nickens is a big time shooter. This team is SICK.
