It really was dead from the beginning of the game. I guess they don't care much for the Pacers right now.

PG loves JV's game
PG has to come home.
Lowry
DD
PG
Carroll
JV
Not enough balls to go around. As much as we revere him, George is a volume shooter just like our local whipping boy, DeMar. The difference is that George is a great defender, so overall he's a much better player.
If (somehow!) you managed to get George, you let DeRozan go and replace him in the lineup with Powell.
Lowry
Powell
PG
Carroll
JV
That's one hell of a lineup on O and D.

I saw something like that during the game. Their was this part where you see Paul George complaining to the refs. I think he got teched up at the time. But in the corner of the camera you see a Ref pick up something near Casey which looked like an orange Ball or Orange. I asked my buddy if he saw that, but he didnt.

Seriously lol. A blowout win and people are complaining about derozans comments and norms minutes wtf
Why do I have a feeling most people here are just looking at the stats.

Yeah it was an orange foam basketball and Casey handed it over to the refs.
Don't know if he got hit in the head with it, camera was panned over to PG complaining, but Casey definitely picked it off the floor and handed it to the refs.

This is not the regular season. If they come out like game 43 of an 82 game season and think they can let up, I'd be massively disappointed. They should be chomping at the bit to get out of round 1. They have the talent, the system and now the confidence to get it done. The Pacers play hard and are well coached, but just have too many holes all around.

Re: PG: JV Shares Spirit Bomb, Raps Drop Purple Rain
DeRozan is getting wayyy too much hate.. It is George's job to stop the best offensive player.. that is why he is a max player, he is a two-way player.. he guards players like LeBron and KD to stop them..
Imagine how many points Carroll, Ross or Powell would score on George.. all they would be able to do is spot up outside the 3 point line..
DD did a good job on passing it out at the right times.. only thing I would complain about are those end of quarter ISOs
Lowry missed 13 shots, Carroll missed 9 shots, DD missed 12 shot with George covering him..
end of the day, it was one of the best playoff wins in this franchise..

I'd like to see someone rebuttal this, but really who cares. Lets just get wins.

Re: PG: JV Shares Spirit Bomb, Raps Drop Purple Rain
Sorry I'm late fellas, wound up watching with some buddies last night and didn't make it into RealGM. Thoughts!
- DD was much better than the first two games. Not a great shooting night FG% wise but he was way better. Active hands on defense and. Getting to the line.
- Kyle looks back to normal, it seems. Encouraging.
- JV was very good at responding to the extra attention from Pacers defense and opened up things for Kyle, DeMar and DeMarre.
- Speaking of Carroll, he was fantastic. Played excellent defense on PG and you could tell really frustrated him.
- Bench has been superb. Even Ross was kind of productive. No more to say on that.
Either way, onto Game 4. Let's step on their throats.

Re: PG: JV Shares Spirit Bomb, Raps Drop Purple Rain
I re-watched the game late last night and I really think this game was won during two key sequences in the 2nd and 4th quarters.
With about 10 minutes left in the second quarter, right after the Technical foul on Stuckey for kicking Patterson, the Raps went on a mini-run keyed off T. Ross. Raps were up 10, then Ross hit a mid-range jumper. A couple of plays later, he skies for a defensive rebound, drives hard and dishes to Biyombo for an easy dunk. Then runs the two-man break beautifully with CoJo and sets CoJo up for the layup, and then hits the open 3 off a Lowry Kick.
By the end of that sequence, the Raps' lead was 17.
Ross gets a lot of hate on this board (including from me) for his inconsistent play, but he was solid in the minutes he was on the floor yesterday and played some very smart basketball.
In the 4th Q, the Raps opened the quarter up 12, but Indy was still hanging around. A basket here or there to drop it to a single-digit lead and the game might become too close for comfort. Again, with about 10 minutes left in the quarter, after Myles Turner hit a long 2 for Indy, the sequence began. This time it was CoJo who was the star.
CoJo drove the ball deep, kicked out to Lowry for the 3 to put the Raps up 15, then on the next possession, drove again deep under the basket, had 3 Indy defenders on him, and somehow found Patterson in the corner for the 3. Raps up 18. Timeout Indy. Fans head to the exits.
And best of all, after the timeout, after a PG turnover, CoJo hit a layup on the other end to put the Raps up 20. Game over.

From the Indianapolis Star - Doyel: Focus, maturity escape, as does opportunityThe little rubber ball came flying out of the crowd after the first technical foul on the Pacers, or maybe after the second. Hard to keep track, really, but this ball was easy to spot because it was pink and it was heading right for Raptors coach Dwane Casey.
It bounced one time on the floor near Toronto’s bench, then landed smack on Casey’s head before bouncing back onto the floor. Casey leaned down, picked it up, handed it to an usher. Went back to coaching.
Someone, please show that clip to the Pacers.
Because that’s how you focus.
The Pacers? They weren’t focused, weren’t mature, weren’t good Thursday night in a 101-85 loss in Game 3 that surrendered the home-court advantage they’d earned in Toronto.
...
Paul George had pointed words for (presumably) his frontcourt, saying the following: “We’re treating this like it’s a regular-season game. We’re failing to be the physical team. There’s one guy who’s doing it and doing it at an amazing job, and that’s Valanciunas. We need to match his physicality, and we’re not doing that.”
George also had words (presumably) for his coach, offering that the Pacers need to call fewer plays and play more free-style.
“Our best offense is to get into attack mode, and I don’t think we’re doing that enough,” George said. “The plays we’re running, this team (we’re playing) knows it.”
http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2016/04/21/doyel-focus-maturity-escape-does-opportunity/83031360/
Funny how that article tried to talk about the "little ball" incident to illustrate the Pacers lack of focus. The news reporter lacked the focus to know it was an orange (not pink) ball that looked like a basketball & Casey gave it to a ref rather than an usher.

I wonder when the last time the Raps got 26 points off TOVs, it really helped getting those easy buckets.

Forgot about that whole ball thrown at casey thing, pathetic fans. I never had any issues with pacers or their fans but that made me angry. Hope we obliterate them. That fan should have been kicked out of the game.
Also anyone notice how from the 4th period 5 min mark to around 2 min mark suddenly all the seats where empty lol. Literally in a 3 min mark it looked like hundreds if not thousands of fans left the game.
Also stuckey kicking patterson, vogel constant crying to refs, players like pg flopping and crying to refs made me absolutely hate pacers from now on.

I really think the opposing team really plays a big role. If it was LeBron and the Cavs demolishing them, im sure Pacer fans would come out to watch that. I really think people not showing up to these games is not respecting your opponent as much as not respecting your team. Raptors still dont have that respect yet, no one really knows much about them down South and only heard of their Playoff failures.

I agree, this is why it's important for us to get into the second round and face off against Miami. Doesn't matter if we lose the series but if we can drag it on to at least the 6th game and play hard we can finally make a dent south of the border. The Miami viewership is huge and would be huge for us when trying to attract FA's. On the other hand if we get blown out by Miami our rep will take a lot of damage.
