Since Dolan has been in charge the only signs on any of our young players are "For Sale" signs. Haven't extended a single rookie since Charlie Ward and we've had over a handful that have deserved it.

I mean in recent memory I’m trying to think who deserved it. I would say probably Gallo and Chandler did but if you can trade role players for a superstar you kind of should do it. Shump? Hardaway jr.? Jordan Hill..Renaldo Balkman. Toney Douglas...Jerian Grant? Like the Knicks haven’t really drafted anyone in the first round in the last decade that have deserved an extension besides KP.

That's part of the problem too. We just haven't drafted well. All these years being bad and very little to show for it

Ironically, the one thing Isiah was pretty good at.

mike's offense looked better. thibs just had these guys playing real hard on d for awhile but that died quickly.

Thibs loves motion offenses (triangle, princeton, dribble drive and flex offense)! We are not capable of running either of them

yeah. it reminds me a bit of how we looked when phil was here. a bunch of running around and passes that lead to nothing.

And you dont have neither Melo nor shooters around

yep. i'm having this internal debate now where, after this year, maybe the knicks should make some financial commitments to players and live with the fact that the team is not going to be a contender even if the talent maxes out. i can't see doing another year of mercenaries and praying for a savior in the draft. the knicks have to establish themselves as something more than a joke eventually.

This is why I have resolved to the second draft type players but for longer contracts. We'd probably **** that up too though and go for the Mudiays of the world. We were at least linked to the right guys this summer.

Yea, guess it depends on who we get and for how much. There are multiple ways we can go. We do need to keep some players around. Hopefully can extend Mitch and at least end the charlie ward streak

Streak will end after we re-sign a first round pick, we have brought back 2nd rounders since then

Looking like Knox might break the streak if he keeps this up, which I don't think anyone would've guessed a few months ago.

Yea, Knox has been looking much better.

I would take any young player we drafted that we can resign and keep long term who can be part of our core. I know theres been other guys like Ron Baker (undrafted) but not even gonna count that one

I can’t wait to see you embrace him with open arms when he’s back in a NYK uniform. It’s just destiny at this point with how much knicks fans hate him now
