So is Jacob Cruz, the assistant hitting coach.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Had to be done. Unfortunately, a move that was a year too late.

If you can't get the teacher you get the student.

No surprise, but JBJ is picking up his option.

Figured but woof. We are going to have to pay for this one to go away or he better figure it out.

Maybe (hopefully) a new hitting coach can fix him.

****, I'd be happy if the new hitting coach can just tweak his suckiness enough to make him playable.
only a fan, only an opinion

Bummer on a couple fronts. Less BA, by a lot, and no Lepay. Lepay was great, but he's going to be doing more Badgers stuff.

I'm going to be annoyed if the Brewers don't present Avi with a QO.

Here's what I see, and I get it from a financial standpoint:
You've got Yelich, Taylor, Cain, JBJ...Mitchell(?).
In theory, if those guys all or 3 of the 4 hit their optimistic projections, you have a good outfield.
Yelich as either a star or just a solid All-Star
Cain hits the fountain of youth
Taylor is solidly a 3 WAR player as he looks like he could be
JBJ isn't a dumpster fire on offense, is a star defensive player and a respectable hitter.
So here's how I see it playing out:
1. They sign a middling, "buy low" sort of guy. I'm just going to say Corey Dickerson as a random name thrown out there, but probably higher.
2. This may be dangerous, but the division is going to suck outside of the Cards unless the Cubs hit fast forward on their rebuild.
3. So you see where you're at at the All Star break. If my scenario above hits, then they've saved capital.
If most of the OF is still terrible, then they'll be making a deadline splash a la the Braves sans Acuna, basically trading for/buying an entirely new outfield.
