Wonder if there's a chance in hell that GS tears it all down and trades Draymond and Curry while they can.

Who can do a cap dump for Curry (or expirings), with 5 FRPs and 2 swaps? Cough... OKC... Orlando... Philly... Orlando would need to get some other vet piece worked out to go for it, but they have the assets to bring in 2 vet stars. But OKC is really the no-brainer, if Presti wanted to go for the 2. He likes his team, though. Which leaves Philly. Very risky with Embiid's health. But again, they have cap, enough to bring in 2 stars. Maybe PG13 and Curry.

Then Lakers could do D'Lo/Gabe/future-FRP for Dray/Payton/Looney.

If Klay's on his way out, the show's over. Draymond's a fire cracker. Might as well sell him asap. And then Curry, it's honorable to have a Dirk/Kobe retirement, but at the same time, it means you're kicking that tank can down the road and losing a ton of assets to jump-start the rebuild.

Curry will retire a Warrior. I don't see any scenario that they cut ties with him unless HE chooses it.

Yes and no. I think he wanted to stay with Clippers and get money. That was always plan A. But he knew it was real possiblity that Clippers would not give him what he wanted. Philly was always just plan B if Clippers didnt follow up. So he could walk out, instead looking like he was abandoning the ship.

Happy for DJJ. Two seasons playing at the vet min, proved his value, and is now back to making $10+mm a year.

Noticed Kelly Oubre also went from a vet min deal to ~$8mm a year.

Would be interesting to try and identify these young veteran players that are falling into this temporary vet min range for some good value. Heck I think if he can stay healthy and keep shooting it well Javonte Green could eventually be such a player.
