Not sure if it'll help or hurt. Postives: Playing with an actual 1A offensive star that'll be able to catch and finish any of the fancy passes you can dream of. Much less defensive attention from opposing teams, making it harder for defense to bully you. More time to shore up the shooting issues that have sunk your stock.

Negatives: You could get hurt before you make the league. The ball is taken out of your hands more, forcing you to play more off ball which isn't what makes you special. The 2026 draft may be even stronger than 2025, can you hold up to stiffer competition in the next draft?

He started the season off red hot then freefalled. His stock was way down. Mocks hadnt moved him much, but hes a 20s pick after this season, not a lotto. Theres a lot of work to be done to match the big combo guard he was being seen as.

I am of the opinion that good back up Cs usually have to be first rounders (just look at the list of all active Cs in the league, it's most 1st rounders). I wouldn't be upset if they got Newell first, then a guard with the Warriors pick. I do wonder if he's a 4 or 5 in the league. He strikes me as more of a Jonathan Issac or Jaren Jackson type defender than a Bam if you get what I mean.

Ehhhhhh, Clayton is more of a 2nd rounder to possible undrafted than late first. Though with how he played in the tournament, I'm sure he'll get drafted.

Possibly but we may have a PG already picked with the earlier pick by the time the GSW pick comes along. Fears and Jase Richardson will be ranked higher. I think the GSW pick gets traded anyway.
