I'm just curious ... or optimistic again... sigh, come on Otis

To add on to my post^... here's my theory/hopeful trade wish (and I'm thinking post-Deron Utah, now with Harris at PG and Favors at PF)

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=4jvo75a

Paul Millsap to Orlando
Al Jefferson to Memphis
Zach Randolph, Brandon Bass, and Chris Duhon to Utah

Magic DEPTH Roster:
PG: Nelson (28 min)/Arenas (20 min)
SG: J-Rich (28 min)/Redick (12 min)/Arenas (8 min)
SF: Hedo (28 min)/Clark (20 min)/Q-Rich
PF: Millsap (28 min)/Anderson (16 min)/Clark (4 min)
C: Howard (32 min)/Anderson (12 min)/Clark (4 min)Allen/Orton

9-man Rotation:
Howard: 32 min
Millsap: 28 min
Nelson: 28 min
J-Rich: 28 min
Hedo: 28 min
Arenas: 28 min
Anderson: 28 min
Clark: 28 min
Redick: 12 min

Sorry but that rotation is garbage. No chance on earth Clark plays 28 minutes, guy is not a game changer.

I should have prefaced the 9-man rotation minutes with this
Estimated Minutes (Standard Deviation of +/- 6 minutes for each player depending on opponent match-ups, adjustments, foul troubles, in-game scenarios, different line-ups, good/bad player performances, etc...):
(from my post on pg.24 of this thread)

Those are just default minutes my friend, they are not concrete or consistent for every night... that's up for SVG and co. to figure out obviously... relax :) (but it would make sense to get Gilbert Arenas going and up his minutes to do so... and to up Clark's minutes too imo, he's not a game-changer, but he's a fine talent with size who runs up and down the court and hustles on defense, and has nice handles, driving, and passing abilities... it's time to utilize all our "weapons"... no more short-changing and limiting players freedom, talents, abilities, and options... go all-out and use our 8-9 key players, get them ready and prepared for the playoff run... and again, that's all up for SVG to decide)

It's doubtful Orlando makes another roster transforming blockbuster deal, but Chad Ford of ESPN is reporting Memphis has considered proposing a Zach Randolph for Jason Richardson and Brandon Bass swap to the Magic.

Note: Ford was clear in his article stating to the best of his knowledge Orlando has not talked with Memphis about such a deal.

Can't unload Arenas' contract... no one want him

We would never give up Dwight Howard (especially right now, when we're trying to win and trying get a legit sidekick for him to play with... as well as trying to make him happy and show him that the Magic are trying to win by making moves)

And there is nothing that can be added to make the deal happen (read the statement right above)

Reasonable.
But i think that one reason for the Jazz to trade D-Will was, that in case of a lockout, there won't be another chance to trade him.
If Otis thinks like that too, maybe he will consider dealing Dwight for an adequate package...

Think of it this way ...

How long do you think a lock out would last? (1 season max, imo)
How long would the negativity towards the organization last if we to try to dump Dwight's salary?

seriously why is everyone obsessed with upgrading pf? since when was the 4 spot this teams problem?

we lack a good perimeter defender and legit slasher who can create for himself.

z-bo would take touches away from dwight. millsap is the same height as bass. how does that improve our front court?

Reportedly, the Magic have offered Duhon to the Knicks for Turiaf. Being that the Knicks are short on bigs, I doubt I see this happening. But, I am keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

yep, saw that too

The Magic have made a pass at Miami regarding Jamaal Magloire, they have offered Chris Duhon to the New York Knicks in exchange for Ronny Turiaf and continue to look for value deals in the marketplace.

but remember... it's "hoopsworld" -_-

Well, Orlando fans are good fans, aren't they :D

But you got a point there, i don't even think a lockout would last a whole season...

No way New York does it. They just lost 2 big men. Not gonna lose another.

One of my friends just told me Duhon missed practice today. Looking for a link or something.

That would actually be an awesome trade for them if they can pull it off

I'm gonna go into a mild depression if we don't make a single move today or tomorrow. At least a center Otis. That's all I ask.

I think I've read that he missed his plane yesterday or something like that ..

Getting rid of Duhon would at the moment be more unlikely than getting Chris Paul

Good, I hope they get rid of him, his incompetent play, and his awful contract

That Turiaf deal would be pretty nice but I can't see the Knicks taking Duhon back. I could have sworn the fan base disliked him upon his departure. Or at least, wasn't praised or coveted.

Duhon missed practice YESTERDAY because he "missed his flight back to Orlando." The Sentinel reported it.

The Knicks have ONE Center, and that happens to be Turiaf .. No way they even consider trading him

Return to Orlando Magic
