KD to gs? honestly i just feel like throwing up.
This is actually way beyond Lebrons super teams .(at least those had weaknesses)
Unless curry blows out his knee(dont see it and wont wish that on anyone) whats the point even playing next season?

with doc in charge we nvr really improve. can you honestly say any of his clipper teams are better then the one he took over?

this just sad....

only consolidation there is most of those hype super teams fail but eh dont see how

hey isn't Brit's time 7 hours ahead of pacfic time? what the heck are you drinking 4 in the afternoon already?

Its 8 hours. Daylight saving. 8-) Not drink related unfortunately. Just kind of down and bleh at what was essentially "The Decision 2.0" or at least that's what I hope it will be known as. Our only hope is for CP and Blake to summon their MVP selves and play like they did in the Spurs 1st round series, and to be injury free obviously. Hopefully this motivates them.

well I didn't know there were any basketball fans in UK, let alone a clipper fan, so good yo have ya bro. and I would much more count of DJ turning into a dominant two way center to have a chance imo because now the Warriors have traded Bogert away and waved Fezeli, pounding them inside with a dominant, sizeable center would be the attacking point of their weakest link. looks to me Diamond Stone is already offensively talented. pound inside with DJ and Stone, and no way Green is strong enough or big enough to deal with that for the entire duration of the game, and Anderson being injury prone, they would have to rely on nipple head and the rook and I see nothing but fouls there. if the Warriors have a cryptonite, it is going to be their center position. we just have got to punish them. DJ's maturation will be the key. better offensive skills, and better than 50% FT is now a must.
ehhhhh f it.

Plenty of basketball fans in the UK! We pretty much fill out the O2 Arena when the Raps have come over these last few years. You say the C position is their kryptonite, but even that might be a moot point now. They just signed Zaza for an 80% discount, who should be earning around 10M in this market instead of the room exception. Much better than the likes Dedmon or Nene. Hopefully they trip over themselves from a chemistry standpoint, and our continuity develops. But you're right, the best way to attack them appears to be in the post. DJ won't ever be a pound it inside big, but taking advantage of his matchup is more paramount than ever. That still comes down to CP and Blake. I'm zeroing in on Blake tho. He can be Lebron-esque.

Yeh, this is just terrible. Maybe this is the time to offer Blake for Westbrook?

Edit: Not thinking straight. Please ignore above sentence.

I'll admit i have wondered about Westbrook for Paul. I think Blake and DJ would be much better off in an uptempo offense.

Yeah I don't see any way they don't just trounce everyone. Even Zaza is probably a better player than Bogut nowadays. Even if one of Curry/Durant/Green gets injured and is out for the season, I can't see how they're not the overwhelming favorites to win it all. The Heat had fit issues and a shallow roster, they don't have anything like it, their fit is just perfect. They just ruined the next 3-5 years of basketball.

it sure doesn't look good. it just reinforces my theory about the nba going the wwe route. I really do not know if I can still be a fan at this point. I hate to give it up after all these years. I will have to see what the team looks like at training camp.

Paul is a free agent after next season? So is Westbrook, who is rumored to want to go back home to LA.

I think Paul's a better overall player at his peak because he plays more defense. But Westbrook is 5-6 years younger ...

KD on the Warriors and Russ on the Clippers would make the rivalry electric. Blake is from Oklahoma so he's the only realistic trade option. CP, DJ and JJ would never stay there. We could take on Ersan's expiring to offset Blake's trade kicker. Didn't realise OKC had him until now. All stretch 4's are useful, even inconsistent ones.

Well they just added David West, so the depth just got even better

Yeah, so much for David West being this rugged veteran that every team wants to hire for their front office. He's just a dude that sells his ass to the frontrunner.

This crap makes me curious about what makes it important for guys to get a ring, is it just for the jewelry? if so West would find it cheaper to buy one on ebay. Is it just bragging rights? I just don't get, you'd think the most appealing thing would be the experience of going through the whole season's fight with your teammates culminating in the finals and all, but if you're just jumping ship every year to the guys you were fighting against, until you find yourself in the right place at the right time, I really don't get the fascination of having a ring. Not to the point you lose tens of million like West anyway.

Makes sense to me. Its not just about the ring itself, it gives former players more equity for future nba related jobs like coaching, in the media or in front offices. Even if he doesn't get a ring out of it, being a part of a great organisation like the Spurs and knowing how they do things immediately raises your stock around league offices. Now West will have been part of 2 great organisations. The ultimate example is Steve Kerr. Won multiple championships under Phil Jackson then Greg Popovich, and has now passed that on to the Warriors.

I don't think it applies, Kerr signed in the middle of his career with a good team, contributed to winning a few championships, and then was traded to another good team where he won a couple more. That's a player winning championships in the most common sense, what West is doing is completely different. He already was on a good organisation where he could learn a lot.

For an example closer to West's case, no one gives Gary Payton championship equity because he ended up getting the one ring in Miami after years of ring chasing.
