By the way.. If we pick Bender over Ingram or Simmons, I will be absolutely livid. We cannot over think this.

No doubt, he's the best fit. However, if Philly picks Ingram 1st, I think we have to go Simmons.

If we get to pick Simmons, we pick him and look to adjust the other guys. D'Angelo is perfect as a secondary ball handler working off screens to get his offense. Clarkson and Randle will likely have to learn new skills to play off of Simmons or come off the bench.

Getting Simmons is well worth making adjustments... I just think Ingram is a far better scenario for us.

BEcause fit does not outweigh talent. Simmons is more talented than Randle, Nance, Russell, and Clarkson ... They adjust to his skills .. You don't try to fit **** around some core that barely won 17 games.

Yeah Ingram sure solves a lot of issues.

Supposedly he's eating 5000 calories a day. But he seems like one of those guys that's just gonna always look skinny no matter what.

Durant was as freakishly skinny so I'm not too concerned. Just hope he doesn't break! Lol

Durant was 210 pounds coming out of college, about 20 pounds bigger than Ingram. Ingram is really too skinny even for today's pace and space league. But hell, if a prospect can only have one deficiency coming out of school, being under weight is probably one of the best problems to have. He will be able to put on some pounds and gain functional strength in an NBA training program without any question.

The best comparison for Ingram weight wise is Giannis. Giannis was about the same weight and height when he came into this league. He's put on close to 30 pound since coming into the league.

That writer needs to shut the hell up and start explaining why the Sixers can use a guy like Simmons!

Philly trade: #1 pick and Okafor
Lakers trade: #2 pick, Russell and removing all protections off the pick owed to the 76ers
Simmons is the most transcendent talent out of the bunch and Okafor could be the next great offensive big man. Philly gets perimeter help and clears out the log jam in the front court. Plus it could net them another lottery pick next year.
These Okafor trades are getting tiring. The Lakers passed on him and now you you want to trade D'angelo for him just to get the first pick??? Makes no sense. The Lakers are sitting pretty at #2.
It has less to do with Okafor and more to do with Simmons who has the most potential as a franchise changing player. We know Philly is shopping Okafor so why not take advantage of that? It's like asking would you trade Lebron/Durant/Davis and Bosh for Klay Thompson and Kyrie?

For a school that has trouble recruiting players and lucked out by getting the top recruit last year, you would think that the beat writer wouldn't be trashing the possible number one pick in public. This seems personal to me.

This seems like an underover strategy to lower Simmons' value so he lands 2nd right when the Lakers have the pick. It could be Simmons himself telling everyone to write he's trash so Ingram gets picked 1st by the Sixers. Very strange he's been so low profile the last months and now this LSU guy clearly telling bull... if he was serious, which he wasn't.
