Ouch!

This offseason has washed away many of Presti's sins, but this highlights just how bad it was taking Cam in the lottery in that draft.

He was taken one spot behind Booker and ahead of guys that while they are not world beaters, at least have the potential to be contributors like Oubre, Dekker, Anderson, Rozier.

He really goofed that pick up.

Ah well he turned Payne into McD, Taj, and a great 2nd while also getting PG. I can block out that Payne selection.

Was just dropping in to comment on this. It's sort of crazy to me he played like a decent NBA player for a about a month and a half of that rookie season. You wouldn't think you could just get lucky or fake it that long. But then he just fell off a cliff when that 3 point shot stopped falling. And then the recurrent foot injuries, and the rest is history. He's probably a career D Leaguer/overseas guy at this point. Sort of sad. But he should definitely be on the list of Presti's whiffs. This is worse than Byron Mullens. At least he hung around the league a bit after leaving here.

I hated the pick so much around the draft. Just didn't think much of Murray state and that ohio valley conference competition. Then after he played great for a month or so I felt really dumb for doubting Presti. But then the bottom completely dropped out of his three point shooting and he looked pretty bad but he's a rook, it happens. And now he's been in perpetual foot injury hell and I feel like we never got a fair chance to really assess the pick.

Nobody thinks Durant is a bad guy.

That's where we disagree and forever will. He is a backstabbing traitor and the weakest 'Superstar' in the history of the league. He is a bad person, period. You can't act like this and then just say 'It's a business'. The decisions you make reflect upon your character.

I don't even wanna imagine what that lockeroom felt like in the 2015-2016 season. Donovan coming in, possibly not wanting to change all that much and disrupt stuff. Durant sulking all year long and quite possibly not even hiding the Warriors' advances (I don't believe for one second nobody noticed it). I bet the team knew what was up all year long. Hell, even Presti did, hence the Kevin Durant vanity project with him running point (which failed miserably).

So no, he's not a 'good guy'. He's a disloyal **** who's tried everything to throw everybody he played with under the bus. He had the worst Playoffs of his career and then left when the team was poised to take another step. He himself **** the bed. He could have won a title, but instead decided it was too much work. He took the easy way out and has not stopped once trying to create a different narrative about it.

Guilty of liking Payne at the time he was selected. I wanted us to take a backup point guard and thought any one of him, Delon Wright, or Jerian Grant was the right pick. Rozier wasn't someone I liked at the time. Payne seemed to be the clearest choice for instant offense off the bench given that his game was all about scoring and creating for himself off the dribble at Murray State. Hindsight's always 20/20 and I don't necessarily blame the FO for the pick. The Jones fracture set him back substantially when he was already not very athletic to begin with.

I'm surprised no one is calling out how weak his excuse is of blaming the rest of the roster besides Russ. 'Basically if you take Russ away the team isn't that good on their own'...no freaking joke. What if two years ago Klay has said, "you know if curry isn't here we won't be a great team since Draymond isn't a great scorer. " Weak.

Adams and Ibaka/Oladipo may not be all stars but they are comparable to Green and Iggy. It's as if he thinks ripping the thunder for not being the greatest super team of all time justifies his decision.

People seem to forget that not that long ago, you didn't have to be 15 deep. The Warriors getting so lucky with their whole roster (who on their roster didn't severely outplay expectations) just makes it look like you can't have any weaknesses at all.
