It's one of those fantasy type trades that usually don't happen in the NBA. I think the Cavs are trying to play it safe and not adding a piece like Melo that would need time to adjust to his role.

But if we changed Melo into Kevin Durant, does that still apply? Would they reject it for those reasons?

He's a bad matchup against the Warriors, but in an 82 game season he's better player in 2017.

Cavs aren't playing for the regular season crown

What changed and what can he change to go back to defensive anchor in the making?

Which is why I agree with you that it may make sense for them for this reason alone. Although, we don't know if Melo would be any better in this matchup.

KD is clearly the superior player. Between Melo and Love it's a wash. A lot tougher to decide.

more what? holes in his game?

Oh look we're playing the BnO change the topic game again. But let me know if you want to talk about holes in their games. I'd love to.

Melo has had more success being the man than KLove. 0 playoff games. ZERO. That's what KLove got you as The Man.

I'm not even a KLove hater. But you trying to use the succes that Lebron and Kyrie carried him to is lame

That's a bit much to add to the 2017 eastern conference champions this late in the season. That is a deal that must be revisited in the summer.

...Yeah I know what year I put there

It's not a wash. Melo is better. But once again, it's a lot to add especially when you can simply do it in the off-season.

Don't want to rock the boat
Who knows how well Melo would do with them, and he'd have less than half a season to get chemistry going
It's a huge risk, which could pay off, but they prefer to not take it, which is reasonable

He should've kept Jennings in there.

what does that have to do with this year?

Kevin Love will shrink again against GS...he's averaging 21 and 11 on the season so far but u can probably half those numbers when it's time to play his best ball in the finals

y'all are out here acting as if Kevin Love is some integral piece on that team when he barely did anything when he was needed the most

he plays well in the regular season and against squads like Atlanta in the playoffs, congrats to him
