"According to CBS Boston’s Adam Kaufman, the Celtics are ‘in a position’ to acquire George (and with a three-year extension for George in place), but the deal is dependent on the Celtics first signing unrestricted free agent sharpshooter Gordon Hayward. This of course sounds all to similar to the idea of signing Al Horford to entice Kevin Durant to sign here (Durant, as you know, ended up signing with Golden State even after Horford signed with the Celtics), but it's with entirely different logic."

Interesting.

That being said, from what I've learned today his upside looks like Biyombo/Montrezll type if everything goes right. That's a pretty damn good bench player and a welcome replacement for Willie Reed. However, I would prefer to get something better with a lottery pick, I think backups bigs can be found in 2nd round/D-league.

Why the comparisons to dudes that can't shoot?

He could not. He had good mechanics on his shot but that was it.

It's not impossible, but Ibaka is more of an outlier in this regard. Hope Adebayo is as well.

Considering the stroke, it looks good. Adebayo looks like he could become a knockdown shooter from out there, which will allow him to play next to Whiteside. I'm starting to warm up to the pick by the hour.

The workout videos saves us all. I was bitching about not having spacing with a Winslow/Aldridge/Whiteside lineup and then we draft this kid. Then i rolled my eyes hear Calipari try to sell him on his jumpshot. Then I watched his workouts and if his shot is for real, there's some serious hope there.

Riley said Bam made 30 of 50 3's. The video above confirms that. Seems to me that he has long range capability, just needs to be transitioned to actual game situation.

Now I doubt he gonna come out during summer league and shooting lights out. He gonna learn how to play out on the perimeter and how to get open. I'm just gonna expect signs of shooting.

Are we even on Hayward's radar? Could he be considering us instead of the Celtics? I mean they definitely have a better core than us but I want to keep hope alive.

Sorry my app freezing up. Teams are assuming the Heat are that is why Celtics are making it known that Paul George will agree to sign an extension with the Celtics if Hayward agrees to sign with Celtics. They want to make sure Hayward gets the message.

One of the reasons why I was OK with Aldridge being a player the Heat should trade for to use as an recruiting tool.

No way he's going to even bother with us. It's either he gets paid in Utah or goes to the Celtics.

If Heat miss out on a marquee player this summer then you may be looking at Dragic being put on the trading block again

What point guard would take his place if that's the case?

There is no way Bam is a better shooter than Alridge, even riley said in his interview that bam was not a good shooter now, but that it is something they believe they can work on.
