I think we can write off a top 5 pick unless we get lottery luck with Russell and Lin out for Brooklyn.

It's possible that guys like Sexton and Jackson can turn the draft into a top 7 and we can still pick within there.

Dinwiddie's playing better than both...tonight had 25 points on 64% shooting, 6 3's on 60% shooting from 3, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals as he led them to beat the Jazz by double digits.

We may end up fairly close with Brooklyn and Utah. Heck, had we won our two close games with the Lakers they'd be 4-10 and we'd be 7-9 so there is not much difference there either.

The Clips started off like 4-0 also and are now like 5-9...they must really miss Beverley and Gallinari.

Yeah, but I'm not worried about Utah and Clippers becouse of their injuries. Those players will get back, and they will definatley win more than us. I am worried about Brooklyn now. Although I have a little hope for Sacramento and Dallas putting up a good run sooner or later where they catch us. Our schedule hasn't been that tough so far IIRC.

Out of my favourite 10 you could argue 7 of them can play either PG or C so I think it's likely we'll end up with someone from this group:

C - Ayton, Bamba
PG - Sexton, Duval
PF/ C - Bagley, Jackson
SF / SG / PG - Doncic

^^ Replace Duval with Porter and you have a pretty amazing looking top-7... ATM

I'd say it 50/50 this team is outside the top 5 worst record. There are some really bad teams this year and if bookers jump in efficacy isnt a mirage this team will win games that someone else steps up. Which isnt a horrible thing since booker taking a leap is a big big deal and guys like warren and bender helping this team win is good.

While I just have a weird hunch this is the year the suns finally get lucky in the lotto even if they don't it's not the end of the world. If they are sitting 6 or 7 they probably get the pick of the litter of pgs or they can still take a guy like williams who would really help.

So the NBA is moving toward eliminating the 1 and done rule. If it comes in to play this draft Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett will be available too.

It's only a few games in but the top 7 guys have some amazing stats:

Per 30 minutes:

College:
Sexton - 26 points, 5 assists, 1 steal / 69% FG
Bagley - 21 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal / 62% FG
Jackson - 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks / 56% FG
Bamba - 20 points, 13 rebounds, 6 blocks / 64% FG
Ayton - 18 points, 11 rebounds, 1 block / 60% FG

Europe:
Doncic - 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal / 46% FG

Adidas Nation:
Porter: 22 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block / 47% FG

*As comparison these stats are significantly better than last year's top 7 after the same amount of games.

Jaren Jackson sucked today 0 points, 3 turnovers, 5 fouls.

We could do with 'the next' guys playing better.

Really like what I've seen out of Wendell Carter. You worry he won't look so big against NBA competition. Really smart, wide-bodied, old school big.

Yep, i like him too. Bamba and Ayton has crazy potentials but i can see him ends up as the best player. His jumper is looking good, smart player, looking solid defensively and has better touch than Ayton and Bamba. If Ayton and Bamba is already gone he should be our pick.

Wow huge bummer for Porter to be out for the year (even though he goes to Mizzou...). A back injury that requires surgery so early in his career can’t be a good sign either. Wonder if he stays in college next year or if he cashes in on his draft hype even though it’s bound to fall?

I think you have to enter the draft, too much can happen between 2018 and 2019. He may slip to late lotto but I can't see him falling much further than that.

Looks like Ayton, Bagley, Doncic, Bamba are going to be a clear top 4 now.
