If we don't want Mikal we should be able to trade down with Philly for a second asset.
I'd do #9 for #10 and #26 or #38 if we don't really want him.

I mean if they want Knox over Mikal, no reason for the Knicks not to leverage their draft position to try and pick up extra picks. Hope Perry/Mills have the foresight to do it. I'm expecting they stand pat at 9 and 36, tho I'd like to see Lee traded (even if just for a 2nd) to free up minutes for Dot

I always thought one of Tatum's talked about strengths coming out of Duke was that he was a versatile defender. I know FOE kept emphasizing his defense all the time

different league but you still need to be able to rebound. We know KP isn't a great rebounder and I damn sure know Knox isn't a good one either. We would get murked on the glass...new NBA old NBA it doens't matter.

Those people were idiots. Knox STILL isn’t Tatum and the Knicks aren’t the Celtics.

and he was one of the best ISO players coming out in terms of getting his own shot since Melo. People questioned how much upside he had but in terms of immediate impact Tatum was a vastly superior prospect to Knox in almost every facet of the game of basketball.

Because they wanted their terrible comparison of Melo to stick on both sides of the ball. Tatum was always a big athletic kid with quick feet on defense.

Knox isn't a bad rebounder. He's more "average." playing the 3 didn't help him get glass in Kentucky.

In that case they hadn't watched him play. He was a VERY strong defensive prospect.

he just doesn't have great awareness out there on defense (you see that with limited steals and deflections with his size). And your basically counting on Fiz to make him a dog when Mikal already has both.
