That is similar to what I said. We are not that active and engaged. Let's sign Nwaba and make an offer on Lavine.
We've should offer Lavine 2 years at 36 Mill, with a team option for the 2nd year. And Let's sign Vonleh. With Markannan's back issues, having Vonleh as a backup pf will be important.

What does Hezonja do that Valentine doesn't?

Hezonja is bigger/taller. He averaged 9 points a game last season. I read his 3 pt shooting is nothing to shout about, and that he is slow for a 3, so maybe we were right to pass on him. I just thought as a lottery pick, that he has upside and potential to be special. Another reclamation project. Oh well. Maybe Hutchison will amaze us all and start at sf all year long.

wth?!? he wasnt the problem back then.. he would be great mentor and provide leadership, also can be coach here in
Chicago some day..

I just don't see how he can help. Dunn is the future and i can't believe I'm saying this but Payne looked like an at least decent backup. But I'm old school and may be way off base. Also, what makes u think he'll be a good coach?

Dunn is still the future and can still start, rondo would be a perfect back up and a great mentor for the young guys especially Dunn. This move would only be made if the bulls don’t tank,it would be a good basketball move to improve the team. Payne is just horrible idc what anyone says and is only here because of the tanking.

Very random and unreliable source, but Rondo for 2yr/$16mil is a contract I'd be all over. Lauri's development heavily relies on a guard activating his full-potential and Kris needs a mentor/competition for his starting position. I would love Rondo to retire a Bull and become the next head coach after Hoiberg.

I would love rondo back but what happened with him and New Orleans? He played well for them especially in the playoffs but they went and signed Payton. Does that mean rondo is not returning there?

jabari parker is a intriguing option, because past the injuries, he was clearly living up to the 2nd pick in the draft hype. injuries just derailed his ascension.

i just dont know if the bulls are ready to deal with that d rose worry again with parker and his knees holding up. and its not really a low risk high reward kind of deal where we can bring him in evaluate him for a year like we did lavine to determine his value. we would have to give him near max to steal him from the bucks. which then would mean we would have to def give lavine a huge deal otherwise totally insult him.

kind of hard to see parker as a option here too. maybe next off season where we can possibly get him on a value deal if he just takes a qualifying offer from the bucks for a season.

i will also say, if the bulls do have plans on giving parker a huge deal, then that would end the tank officially and now its about playoffs and becoming a contender.

Yeah Rondo would actually be a great fit. Great veteran mentor. Especially hearing the news of the Bulls being disappointed in Kris Dunn this summer. Good veteran point guard to have to get Markkanen and others involved in the office.

You could even start Rondo and Dunn together in the back court. Would be all for it.

If they're resigning Cousins, I think their money situation is too tight to afford Rondo when they are still in desperate need for shooters. Seth Curry makes a lot of sense for them over Rondo with how poorly Holiday fit off-ball. Jrue is a nice player but that $100mil contract really sets that franchise back with his average play-making and shooting.

Its better to just trade George Hill + Kevin Love for Lopez + Asik.

Dunn / Payne
Hill / Valentine
Holiday / Hutchison
Lauri / Portis
Love / Wendell

We help Cleveland reset their salary situation in 1 season.

This team would lead the NBA in missed games and lock up our cap for years.

According to some reports, the Bucks signing of Ilyasova is an indication that they might be ready to move on from Jabari Parker. If we were to sign Parker, he'd be the best scorer on the team. Let's do it for two years with a partially guaranteed 2nd year instead of having to hold on to the idea that we have to have guys like Nwaba on our roster. So many good and legitimate young players who can make us competitive are available but we are fooling around with scrubs like Aricidiacono, Felicio, Payne Nwaba and Blakeney. Parker is still 23 and younger than many of them too.

They may have to trade 2019 1st + one of Lauri/Portis/WCJ for Love.

I'm not thrilled with the idea of the Bulls sacrificing Lauri's minutes or playing Parker next to him at center. I don't trust him at small forward at all, so the only role I'd envision him in is as Bobby's replacement or something like a Lamar Odom premium 3rd big. For that role, I wouldn't want the Bulls to use much more of the cap than the MLE so max $10-12mil and Milwaukee wouldn't be able to walk away from matching a contract that small.

Well Rondo just signed with the Lakers so we can end that speculation.

Tons of players signing 1 year deals to do this all again next season. Having 2 MAX spots in Chicago could backfire on Bulls especially when other teams will have lots of cash as well.
