Demarre looks good on those numbers too. I'd think that he's a realistic get for us. Why not both Carroll and Hezonja?
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

While we're at it, Wesley Matthews is worth a phone call, no?

I like all three of these draft picks. They all have a chance to be rotation players, and they have some real upside too. Jazz went bargain shopping last night.

Wonder what Jerebko is up to. He's a UFA and fills a back-up, shooting PF role. I'm not suggesting he's the answer to the #3 big the Jazz need to go get, but could be a good 10-12th man. I liked him in his first stint in Utah and the Jazz need a few more capable bodies who can shoot on the roster.

Re: 2019 Utah Jazz Off Season Thread
On the heels of my Jerebko idea above, here are more random roster-filling thoughts:
Seeing Bradley listed on proposed depth charts makes be cringe. Please trade him for ..... anything. lol
It's too bad the Jazz couldn't have absorbed TJ Warren, since he was essentially given away in the trade to the Pacers. I think he would have been a nice answer for the PF issues the Jazz have right now.
Jabari - ugh, why!?!?!?
Mirotic would still be ideal, but not sure that can happen while keeping Favors, which I hope they do.
Dudley was reportedly interested in coming to Utah in a previous summer. He'd be ok, I guess.
Aminu or Jeff Green would be nice. Both capable of being solid 20mpg players.
Thadeus Young is a player I've always liked and fits the bill as a scoring PF. But how much would he cost coming off a 13m+ a year contract?
Mike Scott is a guy who many may not have heard of, but as a 40% 3-point shooter (18mpg, 6ppg) who has decent PF size, he'd fill a role nicely.
I've always had "a thing" for Casspi, and he certainly can still shoot, even though he's slowing down & injured way too much.
Take a flyer on a guy like Derrick Williams, perhaps?
Try Lyles? JUST KIDDING!
Wayne Ellington is really good outside shooter who shouldn't cost much, and would serve a need.
Justin Holiday is an athletic wing that can hit from outside & fits in with the age of the team. Still has room to get better.
Garrett Temple is another good shooter, and a veteran presence who could be had for pretty cheap.... same with Jodie Meeks.

I think Motley would be a good bench player at PF. I think he has some upside to him. High energy guy

Tony Jones says Tobias Harris is really interested in Utah. If we clear Dante and Bradley, let go of Favors, let go of Neto and Niang we *might* be able to do it. I just don't see him as a realistic option. I'm not a huge Mitotic fan, but we could probably get him if we cleared Dante and Bradley + cut Niang and Neto. If we got Tobias we'd absolutely have to be the favorites to come out of the West. We'd just have to figure out how to get some depth.

Rumors are that the Nets might get Durant and Irving. So no room left for Harris? But why wouldn't he wanna stay with the 6ers?
And why is the 3 pt % so up and down? He shoots .434 for the Clippers last season. Gets traded, and shoots .326 on almost the same number of looks.

He's been an amazing shooter for the last several years. I'd chalk that up to getting used to a new system without an off-season to learn it. I agree that if Philly offers the max that is an ideal situation. But if they don't and Utah somehow could? Utah has a clearer path to the finals with Harris than Philly would, as well.

Yeah, if he's shooting above 40 from 3, with Conley, Mitchel, Ingles, Harris, Gobert, we're going to wreck some people.
And who knows, maybe he'd rather play with some class act stars than wait for Embiid and Simmons to grow up. I wonder what Butler is doing?

Re: 2019 Utah Jazz Off Season Thread
I can't help myself:
Conley (32) / Mitchell (16) / Wright-Foreman
Mitchell (20) / O'Neale (28)
Ingles (32) / Hezonja (16) / Oni / Mogan
Harris (36) / Niang (12) / Sefolosha / Brantley
Gobert (32) / Gortat (16)
Can you imagine what Snyder's offense would look like with that. Somebody's gotta convince Tobias to come win one with us on a 2 year deal.

If Harris has his sights set on the Jazz(instead of somebody else) and PHI misses on other top tier FAs they are targeting... I wonder if doing a SnT is possible? One of their biggest problems last year was lack of backup center. That's pretty much what lost them the TOR series... they were something like... -100 in 7 games of non-Embiid minutes. Favors could be a great backup/insurance for Embiid who is always a threat to miss games.

After the Conley trade I wondered if DL also was willing to make the trade to see if we could become more appealing to other free agents, and specifically Tobias. If we walk away with Conley and Tobias DL will be in contention for GM of the year. And damn could we be good.

Tobias walks, or Tobias for Favs, Exum, some other low level players, and probably a couple second round draft picks.
Seems like an easy choice for Philly.

Jazz need to add players to fill out the roster and heaven forbid its old veterans that do nothing all season long ,look slow as molasses in the playoffs and rinse and repeat again the next year.
Furkan Korkmaz 21 y o 6'7 SG/SF ….. starting 3rd yr
Mario Hezonja 24 y o 6'8 SF/PF ……..starting 5th year
Dragan Bender 21 y o 7'1 PF/C ……...starting 4th year
all European's who don't mind playing in places like Utah and would probably benefit playing for a winning and stable organization like Utah.

If Harris had his eyes set on the Jazz and was get-able, and the Jazz chose 1 or 2 years of Conley over him (for 4 years), that's a huge mistake imho, even though I've significantly cooled on him.

If any Harris deal is contingent on dropping Exum, it wasn't a huge mistake. According to some stuff I read, Utah could manufacture space via releasing Favors and Neto and getting Exum and Bradley (or similar value) off the books. You still have to consider FA hasn't opened up. If, by some friggin' miracle, Harris gave his indication that Utah is his preference, Utah has some avenues to get Exum out. Add Bradley or Niang to a deal with a second or first. Classic salary dump. We have nothing left in the chest, but Utah becomes instant favorites to win a title.
