Nunn either a keeper or his trade value just increased.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Meant to post this yesterday but I thought I heard on Zaslow & Amber that Jae would be willing to take a 1 year deal or a 1 year + team option to stay in Miami. Can't find anything online about it so not sure if this is what he actually said or if it was Amber doing her own editorializing

He did say he wants to return, But I don’t think he mentioned contracts. It would be unusual for a player to do that at anytime much less in the middle if the finals. It was probably just Amber/Zaslow speculating what he would take or would be offered.

Way too early. Highly doubt the team negotiating while in the midst of a finals game.

Would love Dame on this squad, but that extension he signed is a cap-killer! 4 years, $49m average. Yikes!

to think Beal could have been a part of this but he wanted the money. Reminds me of Carmelo Anthony always posturing but always taking the money. Now his legacy will fade out while others are cemented.

I know some don't like him, but to me Beal is the one that got away. He could've been a free agent this summer, and we could've added him, and he would have become an MVP candidate in this system next to Jimmy IMO. But whatever, Giannis it is.

I do not think it was about the money. Beal could of forced his way here and got paid. He chose to stay in a place he considered home. I can never knock a guy like that. If you are not ready for a new start, then you happiness comes first. Didnt he just have a baby at that time?
I wouldnt be surprised if Beal eventually pushes his way to Miami.

Beal can be loyal all he wants and that's something you understand, but he lost my respect with all the complaining. Embrace all that comes with loyalty... the losing, the lack of awards. Be true to your beliefs or else you're just exposing that youre all about image when you start to whine about every individual accolade. Ultimately, talented guys on bottom feeder teams don't often get high merit. That's why Booker and Trae aren't in those all nba conversations.
The funny thing too is all he needs to do is lead Washington to a 7 or 8 seed and he would get so much recognition. Guys like Kuzma could put up 20 on a 10th seed team so big numbers on a terrible team is always somewhat of a redflag to me.

We should definitely consider trading him with his value high ish and our first pick for a roster upgrade. More size again please.

If the season really does start in January 2021, this is going to be a short break for our guys. Hard to expect them to realistically fix their weaknesses in one short offseason. I hope they get some time to refresh and relax, been a hell of a grind.
Really interested to see what shuffling the Front Office is able to do in the coming weeks. Our trajectory hasn't appeared this good in such a long time. Don't let Game 6 put a bad taste in your mouth - the future is bright, and there will be plenty of guys who want some Heat Culture this offseason and next.
Time to go to work, Pat.

Would there be any interest in trading for Blake Griffin?

Extremely doubtful.
If he was a FA and willing to bet on his health and game, I'd take him for a 1yr gamble. But his contract makes it a non-starter for us, given we're looking to be players in 2021 Free Agency. The $39m Player Option for 2021-22 means he's a no go.
He needs to prove he can be healthy enough to contribute a full season too. Offensively, he'd be a decent fit given his improved range.

Well if you think about it, the lockdown and when the (bubble) season resumed still helped. So it should even out by Jan imo.
Also we should still have fresher legs compared to the teams that havent even played since March LMAO. So our chemistry should be intact.
Long as Bam/Dragic are healthy and good to go. Was a very good sign that Dragic was moving about, this means he just needs to relax now and heal up. Bam on the other hand needs to be dumped in a ice bath till Jan.

Re: Miami Heat Speculation Thread - 2020 and beyond...
Embiid.
Embiiid.
Embiiiiiid.
Giannis is a far fetched dream and Beal/Oladipo/Derozan don’t fix our biggest weakness. Next year the East will add a new contender to the list, with KD/Kyrie and the Nets (who are also very long and big).
We need to get bigger. Embiid is a top 10 talent in the NBA with an offensive game refined enough to be the go to guy. He’s the perfect fit for Butler, and we all know Riley has an affection for dominant big man.
Bam/Butler/Embiid + shooting is a championship core that can make it back to the finals not only next year, but for the next several years to come.
Make it happen Riley. Let’s bring home the best C in the East.

Stars don't come at a discount. That's what star salaries are now and they will only grow. We either bite the bullet or try to win with lesser players.
