Pretty Rico runs are better for their development than playing against Toronto scrubs.

Pro ams aren’t really designed or utilized for development purposes…it’s more just for fun and an opportunity for fans to come watch

Fun Malachi is back looking like White Chocolate with his And1 moves.

Barnes is a freaking monster.

I would have killed to go see this.

He does still have some potential in him, but this is the year he needs to perform or he might not get another opportunity with us. He has almost 100 total NBA games under his belt (91 regular season + 6 playoff games with 1500 total minutes), but he hasn't done much of anything in ~75% of his appearances. His per36 numbers (13/4/5) are pretty disappointing, but what makes it worse is the complete lack of efficiency offensively (48 TS% and -2.2 OBPM) despite typically being the 4th or even 5th option on the floor.

The bright side is that he is still just 24. His defence has generally been pretty good and he does a good job at not turning the ball over (9.1 TOV% and 3.7 AST/TO ratio), but he really needs to start knocking down those wide open jumpers especially.

Flynn was doomed to fail with us, his skill set is something we couldn’t develop properly due to how we play.

Not to say it’s all on the raptors program, Flynn himself is also at blame because his 3 point shot has been miserable.

We drafted him. Has nothing to do with how we play and everything to do with Flynn not making the most of his minutes out there.

I know but his biggest strenght coming out of the College was pick and roll, he was the best player in his draft at it.

Raptors are bottom 5 in attempts of running pick and roll and also didn't have any competent big man during Flynn's tenue with us.

But like I said, he controls his own destiny in terms of his 3 point shot, he's only got himself to blame for that.

Until Flynn's jumper translates to the NBA, he'll continue to be a garbage min player. Thats not on Nurse or the coaching staff. He's a small guard who's below average athletically at the NBA level. His only path to NBA relevance is being a knock down shooter

Flynn can shoot. It's all mental with him. Once he confidently knocks down jumpers in NBA games he'll be sought out because he has a lot of ball handling skills that others don't have. He's the type of player who can go from fringe NBA player to 6th man of the year type of player.
