There is no he was just swiping...
There is no accidental elbow...
It is a closed fist to the face.
That is not intentional. That is simply a case of flailing when someone's latching on to you in order to get them off of you. The only thing is that the flail resulted in a pop in the face.
there is a difference between a hit and falling motion
Did James intentionally try and shake him off aggressively, perhaps even to the extent of hitting him mildly? In my opinion, yes.
Did James intentionally try and flail with a closed fist in an attempt to hammer him in the face or cause any kind of moderate to extreme damage? In my opinion, no.

But what he did was a reckless "get off me" move not a calculated aimed punch, as some are suggesting.

It's called "boxing out". Keep trying.

Loose ball foul for running into Lebron's fist with his face.

If just find it funny LeBron starts backing up to keep at least a 30 foot separation between him and Stewart even tho there's like a million people between them.
Because he's looking at how much of an idiot Stewart looks like and is probably just laughing at the dude. Bron had no interest in fighting and he shouldn't have....its LeBron freaking James. Stewart is a nobody that'll probably be out of the league in a couple of years if we're being honest.
I also find it funny how people are saying Stew would ruin Bron when Bron had him leaking so much after a swipe away. Bron aint scared of that dude. Russ wasnt even scared of him![]()

Oh ya Russ wasn’t scared cause he saw 10 people holding him back haha man some of you really don’t know anything
Of course it’s lebrons good Stewart’s a nobody so he should take sucker punches and move on vs my favorite player

I think there was some of that for sure. Looks like AD was shouting stuff while he was hiding beyond Jordan (holding on tight too so he wouldn’t lose his human shield). Russ is always up for unrealistic reaction. I’m sure someone there was mic’d up and we can maybe hear what all was going on, but likely not.
I don’t expect a 30 for 30 on this and we will mostly forget this before thanksgiving dinner, but to say the least it wasn’t anyone’s best moment last night.

He is going to hold a special on ESPN called the apology. Stay tuned for details.
No, he can’t really that would be an admission of guilt and he can’t do that now. It’s national media attention and the suspension ruling is not done, so he can’t say anything.

Ya but they have fans so can’t blame them remember. Dumbass AD was escalating it too like Stewart wouldn’t fold him in half and Westbrook man just stop and go and the fans like usually

Look at how Jokic handled his situation where he got fouled and he body checked Morris. Immediately after he did it, he knew he was wrong, he left the court and then in the post-game interview he apologized and said he was wrong.

As someone from Balkans, this is the first time someone uses Serbs as an example of being calm in a situation like this.

RxOne wrote:98% of the post here are outright ridiculous.
Stewart put two hands on LeBrons body and pushed him off balance (hence the original foul call). Lebron took umbrage and tried to rip through the hold. The combination of the Lebrons rip through and Stewarts push changed the angular momentum of the swing and Stewart caught an accidental elbow to the eye area, followed by the back of Lebrons fist to the jaw.
Was it dirty? Probably, but guys throw elbows all the time, it's just this one produced a nasty cut. So, the level of pearl-clutching here is way overkill.
The people calling it a punch or talking about what Lebron was "aiming" for must have never been in a fight. This wasn't a fight, there were no punches thrown, there was no aiming, it was a bang-bang play involving two guys being over-aggressive. Common foul on the push, flagrant 2 / ejection for the severity of the contact, ejection for running around like a psycho. Possibly both suspended because it became a social-media spectacle. Seems cut and dry.
It's really bizarre to me why sports fans like you feel the need to defend the indefensible. Stewart should never have been bloodied and, whether intentional or not, that is 100% on LeBron.
After his elbow and before his fist, LeBron seemed to glance at Stewart -- and he likely felt his elbow impact on Stewart and he still threw his fist -- so it's not unreasonable for people to have a different opinion than you. But you flatly dismiss any other opinion and claim to be the sole purveyor of truth.
Even worse, you then attempted to denigrate anyone who questions your opinion-masquerading-as-truth as pearl-clutchers and stating that they must have never been in a fight -- to disagree with you is to be hysterical, ignorant and weak. TBH, it just makes you look insecure.
LeBron screwed up and will pay a price -- reputationally and likely from the league -- neither will be significant. But I have no idea why you feel the need to charge windmills here.
“I pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand,” James said as he sat there with a softcast on the right hand.

Announcers on TV last night said security was on alert n case that happened. Nothing was mentioned about Stewart actually doing that.
He already pretended to start to go into the locker room then ran back out to start something again. That alone is suspension worthy and it's on video. He had enough time to calm down, pretend like he was collected, then come at Lebron again. Lebron should get a suspension for the hit, but Stewart should get one for failing to calm down and trying to aggress and attack another NBA player for 5 minutes straight.

Re: Lebron fouls Stewart, leading to Altercation Pt. Duex
If Stewart really wanted to fight the whole team I feel like they should've let him try. LOL
We need a celebrity boxing tournament. Like Charley Ward vs. Deron Williams but only with current players. Then we could go to teams. Nuggets vs Heat have already gotten the preliminaries out of the way. Lebron vs. Anybody would be box office too. Then we could have a certified class with guys like James Johnson who are known black belts or who train. I really feel like the NBA is missing out on an opportunity here.

I think Bron tried to aggressively move his arm cause he was frustrated that they were playing like Garbage and hit him in the face instead.
That dude had a right to be mad but also not to that display. He acted out of line knocking all his own coaches and stuff out of the way.

I feel like if this was the Morris twins we would have had the suspension announcement already.

Michael Jordan
Larry Bird
Shaq
Kobe
Ewing
Barkley
Mailman
Bird
McHale
And plenty others have purposely hit dudes with elbows, hands etc. Only LeBron gets chastised like he has and honestly he was the least likely of any of them to do it. It was a physical play by Stewart, LeBron got his arms up and caught him. Not a big deal.
He will serve his one or two game suspension and everyone can just move on and find new ways to be fake mad at him.

I doubt LeBron knew who the guy even was before tonight, it's not like he had a vendetta.
Get the stan out of your eyes and watch again. It was clearly retalation for the weak push Stewart gave on the FT.
There was nothing inadvertent about what Lebron did
