Nah, korver was strictly a catch and shoot guy.

Klay wants to be kobe on offense and dlo on defense.

He can't guard wings either.

He's best on guys like pj tucker and Tony snell.

Thompson has to be a catch and shoot guy.
Great shooter but he should not be set in a position to create offense for Warriors.
He is mediocre at best in everything else except shooting

Thing is Curry gets the easier defensive assignment because at 35 gravity and movement is crucial to the offense

Klay is not done, he's just a 15m/year value player who should be playing 25MPG on controlled usage and shooting. Instead he's one of the top 10 most paid players in the league.

Add to that that his replacement even at 25m/year has even less value on the court.

Dumb ass takes as usual.

Warriors don't even have one win without Klay.

Series would be over if he didn't win game 2.

I for one am prepared, assuming we win game 5, to see if Klay rolls out a vintage game 6 Klay special before I put a fork in him.

Where are all the voices that were insisting that Klay would come into shape by January and would be back to his old self by playoffs?

He isnt done as a player, but he is done as a core impact player. Wiggs and loon have both jumped over him.

where was he for Game 6 vs Sacramento or Game 7 vs the Kings?

Or you know.. the NBA finals last year? Klay has the best job in the world, shows up for 1-2 games in a series as the 2nd best offensive player, puts out **** performances and all is forgotten.

Klay playing even solid either in game 1 or 4 gives Warriors an easy win. Instead he played like **** both offensively and defensively.

According to Kerr, those last 2 Klay shots, and the Curry 30 footer, were "good looks" :nonono:

What did you expect, he was going to throw them under the bus publicly?

Hmm the interview I heard was that Kerr said Klay's last 2 shots were shots that Klay would probably like to have back.

But yeah Steve rarely roasts his players, it's usually just support publicly. We all saw him throw his hands up during/after the 1st shot, right? Dray too.

Klay is still a good player. And at times can win a game by himself (or lose one by himself). The problem is he's trying to play like he did 6 years ago but he just doesn't have the athleticism for it.

He actually needs to start playing more like prime Korver. Catch and shoot, play smart to get into those positions, pass if the shots not there. On defense, Korver didn't miss rotations, switched when he couldn't get around screens, worked hard to go over screens and chase into help, etc etc. Right now Klay thinks he can navigate screens like he used to, and when it doesn't work he just dies on them and gives up, going under and giving up shots and drives. On offense he looks to shoot on the catch, and if its not there he goes into iso mode.... if the shots not there he needs to pass the damn ball, but its just not in his dna to do that.

look at Kerr’s reaction on the second terrible shot, he has his hands on his head and is like “wtf r u doing!?!”
