Matt Schneidman had an explanation that makes some sense.
There are 27 interior defensive linemen making more annually than this 12.9 figure, according to OTC, so exercising Wyatt’s option makes sense. An extension would make more sense for Quay given how much his option would be relative to other LBs.

I can't imagine an extension with Quay would be super long though. Just enough to get his cap number down.

He did quit on the team at one point. It seems he's got some demons and only the locker room knows if they're worth dealing with.

There's no information that would support that misreading. Doubs had a family matter to address. He handled it. Teammates & coaches had his back--and corrected the record re weak claims & speculation. Some ppl work reeally hard to put a reading in there that was never reported as fact by real journalists. Loose talk goes straight to credibility.
Doubs produced. He's never been a bad apple. Deferring to Packers' process and taking their perspective at face value would at minimum allow MLF, Gute and Doubs to all do their jobs. Only fair. Maybe he's released just to minimize all risk from concussions or to eliminate any future weirdness. But that should be based on facts on the record, not some inflated storyline in which the fanbase polices minor incidents when all reporting indicated the situation was well in-hand and responsibility addressed with standard Packers integrity. As of the Matthew Golden pick at #23, we've got a strong WR room, and trying to find an issue instead of letting it play out in training camp does not help you, and it does not help us.

And this is why teams put out PR spin. Because they know someone is gonna eat it up.

You want facts. They fact is he was suspended a game for "conduct detrimental to the team"

Now there are were multiple stories on why and truthfully unless your inside the building none of us know with 100% clarity what the reason was.

However unless you actually believe the team **** suspended him because he had a family matter that needed to be resolved (good lord it's amazing someone bought that pr) don't act all high and mighty when people take the other reports as more credible

I'm getting old because all these uniform ideas being implemented by Nike kinda suck. The NBA is already chaotic with the endless designs and teams mixing and matching on the home/road. Go back to classic home whites, away color and MAYBE ONE alternate.

At first I really liked all the new uniforms. Now I agree with you, there are way too many uniforms. And I'm sure these will suck, although I do hope that maybe they finally get a yellow jersey

Isn't that what the NFL does allready except its home color, away white and then like one or two games with a throwback

NBA is too much agree. Don't really have an issue with how the NFL handles it (outside of absolutely hating GBs throwbacks)

Edit: Just clicked the article. "Rivaly uniforms" seems **** stupid

Rivalry games should have the classic uniforms. Leave the gimmicks to non division games.

Golden dropped on a pod that Jaire hit him up about getting to work. I think he'll be back. Love it.

I’m on the fence about Jaire coming back but if he’s motivated heck yeah I want him back.

The restructure with per-game incentives makes the most sense to me, if Jaire will agree to it. Gives him motivation, gives the Packers some protection if he flames out again. Make it possible for him to earn slightly more in total, but reduce the base salary. Everyone prospers.

Colossal fail if we sign this mental midget to an extension. He’s clueless.
How can Gute not see this. Quay is the poster child for the Blake Martinez award for leading the league in tackles 8 yards downfield.

This is why I'm a bit of a premium position 1st rounder snob. I don't particularly like Quay but the pack view him as at least a starting level guy yet his option is more than they want to spend.

Pack have taken 2 MLBs 1sts in the past 25 years, Quay and Hawk. Like polar opposite players, Quay makes some wow plays but isn't consistent enough and Hawk was consistent but didn't make many splash plays. AJ was the better player.

If there’s one thing humans like it’s consistency, knowing what to expect, we don’t like change. We like routines. Things do need to change so keep the simple **** the same. I get more uni’s means more $, but long term it’s an investment in your fan base to keep aesthetics predictable.

He's not in GB and they are "trying to work through it" seems to me to mean they are trying like hell to trade him.

So they apparently want to restructure.
