Wasnt Tatum's best game but some people cant help talking about him. Yea it's only 2 or 3 posters but the story of the game was the Celtics defense in the 1st half. They didnt cede an inch to them in the 2nd quarter and contested everything

Celts right back in this. Celt's are in control of their fate. If they play their game they're un-beatable. Nobody beats the Celtics, they occasionally beat themselves.

Pretty big win for the Celtics but game 4 is what was going to decide this series, pretty similar to Indiana/Cleveland imo. Knicks really need to get off to a good start in game 4 and build up a big enough lead. Celtics are the best road team in the league and the Knicks have struggled at home thus far in the playoffs.

You can't let this get back to 2-2 and then expect to win the series even as resilient as the Knicks are.

the thought behind "live by the 3 die by the 3" is because its a streaky self imposed do or die shot. the idea behind running a shooter off the line is because you dont really want to foul him

This feels very similar to OKC/Den in that only one team can blow out the other but I would favor the other team significantly in close games. Main difference here is the Knicks seem to have a much tougher time keeping it close. Can’t rely on epic comebacks for all your wins.

Yes I watched those games just as I did this one. Celtics shot 25% from 3 in both of those games.

When you made the comment, it was in the 4th quarter just after Pritchard hit a 3. The Celtics were 1/1 in that quarter at that point and shooting over 50% from 3 as a team at that point. They finished 20/40.

I thought about 35 of the 40 threes today were good looks. Why would you turn down open looks when you’re shooting the ball well? Completely different to the first 2 games where they couldn’t hit them.

If you guys lose game 4, the series is over. So while it might be true that the Celtics have dominated, we've seen teams before dominate teams and still lose series'. In fact the Nuggets did it a few years ago to the Lakers with a similar time of leading in the entire series as this one. Sometimes it's about how you finish games, the Celtics still haven't learned from years ago about blowing leads. They were fine last year but have reverted back a bit to previous years. I'm more surprised because they have a diff coach now in Mazzulla but it's on the players to get over that mental hurdle.

Actually the series is only over if the knicks win 2 more games, or the Celtics win 3 more games. Losing game 4 would not end the season, but I understand why you would cope that way.

We're not the best defense by a mile, I'd say that's the OKC. We were the 4th best and I still see us there. We've done a decent job on defense in this series, we've sucked on offense though, even after this win....
